This compact digital housing is molded of corrosion free clear polycarbonate, it is virtually indestructible with heavy duty walls that allow it to operate safely to 60m (200 feet). All functions of the camera are accessible through the housing. A flash diffuser is included to aid in improving lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used to illuminate subjects underwater. Optional color filters #6441.32 for tropical blue water and #6441.72 for green water settings provide color correction in sunny conditions up to 80' (24m). For use without a strobe. For optimum lighting underwater an optional DS series Substrobe is recommended. The DS Substrobes are brighter, recycle faster and offer wider coverage. Placement of a strobe farther from the camera lens helps to reduce the illumination of particles in the water, thus eliminating backscatter. Any of our DS SubStrobes must be triggered by the EV Manual Controller, which provides 10 power settings without requiring any fiber optic "sync cord" nonsense.
