Customer Reviews:

  • Better Than COD 4
I havent been a fan of MOH or COD games for years, since they did millions of sequels and nothing new.

Airborne offers superb graphics and something really cool. You basically jump out of a plane and choose where to go and what mission you want to complete. Plus there are weapons skills that go up. The weapons and sounds are realistic, and it offers online play but i dont got my xbox 360 hooked up to internet. Animation is also amazing, gives lots of life.
Not too many missions but they do last a while if u try to raise all your skills on the weapon systems they have and do an airdrop at certain hidden points to get achievements.
COD4 on the other hand has better graphics but it so fake and straight forward. But there is a plot. Weapons fire like BB guns. Not a fan.

  • Okay game
the sky-diving part is pretty damn cool, but just the controls and story-line are just to sub par. ...more info
  • Awesome game
This game is really awesome, being able to parachute in makes the game that much more fun, because its never the same. The only thing disapointing about the game is there are no vehicles to drive, other then that the game really rocks, and to the critics who judge a game based on the amount of blood seen, really need to seek professional help....more info
  • Awesome!
I love this game so much. I haven't played it on the Xbox 360 yet, I've only played it on my friend's computer. But that thing has 4GB of RAM and a 26" monitor so it naturally looked awesome. Our cruddy computer is too slow to play a game worthy of 5 stars. I hope it's as fun and looks as great on the Xbox 360 as it does on computer....more info
  • Cheap knockoff
I dont know what everyone else is talking about.. I think this game was very poorly made. The graphics arent that great at all. (probably worse then call of duty 2). The controls are sketchy and unconfortable. Overall EA was just copying call of duty 2 but did a bad job. Buy call of duty 2 its like 20 bucks....more info
  • Too short
I love this game. The only problem is the length. As you play, the chapter seem to fly by, then all of the sudden, the war is over and the credits roll. ...more info
  • Fantastic shooter that destroys its competition
Forget Call of Duty 3. Forget scripted blah blah blah missions. Forget endless waves of drone enemies who will let you destroy divisions of them if only you had the ammo. Airborne is fantastic! Non linear boards, intelligent enemy, great weapons, beautiful looks and sound...this game has anything you would want in a WW2 shooter. I was hesitant on the upgradeable weapons, but the upgrades are all genuine components like forward pistol grips (we call them "Ghetto Grips" in the Army today), improved muzzle breaks, better sights, larger magazines, and the ability to fire a limited number of rifle grenades off some. No death rays or anything stupid like that. Very well done game. It can be quite challenging, and patience is a must in this. You can't run and gun your way to Berlin. Ill make the suggestion right off, jump with the 1903 Sniper Rifle on every mission, ditch it for a Garand or whatever else, and come back and get it when you need it. That was the only way I could get through some of those boards. Really though, it was an excellently done game that reminded me quite a bit of Band of Brothers. No moronic squad stuff, no linear missions, no "I didn't want to be here" feeling sorry for myself garbage like in the Company of Heroes. Great and challenging shooter that will not disappoint. ...more info
  • Medal of letdown
Not exactly a fair fight. The multiplayer is garbage. If your allies, you parachute into the action. Sounds cool right? Not when enemies snipers just keep picking you off before you hit the ground. Lets talk hit detection. Pretty much, no matter where you shoot a Nazi...he will simply shrug it off and run away. The difficulty is really off on this one. Sure, you can take some hits, but the enemies can take half a clip of .30 caliber ammunition and still charge at you too! Also, let's say you die, you are started in a spot where it may take minutes (1-2) or (5-7) for your "squad" to show up and help you. So basically, for some unknown amount of time, you must fight the entire German army by yourself. Phew, my "squad" is finally here. I hope they can help me out now. Aaaaawe they are all dead from a single grenade. Your "squad" AI makes them act like a bunch of drunken raccoons, rather than a crack airborne unit....more info
  • Good or Bad, WW2 Never Dies
The 360 showcases wonderful lighting and intense firefights in MOHA. Unlike last gen WW2 titles in which programmers used lots of tricks to make it seem like a big battle, MOHA has large levels and lots of enemies, so that after parachuting in you'll turn into a human meat-grinder, shredding Krauts in two with your BAR. The sounds also bring the experience home: explosions, rifle fire, soldiers screaming, and soaring music to pump you up. MOHA's good, not great, but good. EA definitely should turn to a new venue in its series, but MOHA is a good exit....more info
  • Amazing Game
This is currently my favorite. The game play is intense, much better than Halo3, the scenery and story have been very well researched. Congrats to all involved in making this game....more info
  • Best Medal of Honor Game Yet

  • Medal of Honor Fails Its Duty!
I was looking forward to playing this game as I have loved the first MOH title. I was extremely disappointed however, when I started playing this game. I don't know whether it was the piss-poor manual that didn't even explain controls like "jump" and "removing the rifle grenade". I ended up accidently finding out how to jump in the 5th mission. Not one place in the manual did it tell you that "Y" is the jump button. Who did the editing in the manual???

I also didn't like the iron sights on the weapons. My guns jumped around too much and I wasn't able to get an accurate shot at long range. The sniper rifle (which I loved in the previous titles) is unforgiving and if you do anything less than a head shot, be prepared to have to shoot your enemy again.

When you die, the game makes you re-jump out of the airplane again. If you've destroyed any objectives up to that point, they are still destroyed except the game re-spawns ALL the bad guys you fought and killed before. That was stupid. This game could have taken a lesson from Battlefield: Bad Company and made sure the enemies were dead, too.

Finding objectives with the compass was a pain in the rear! The compass helps only a little bit and when you do destroy an objective, you have to do CONSTANT backtracking until you find a way to reach the next one. That was more annoying than anything.

Buy at your own risk. The game does have good graphics and the ability to upgrade your weapons is nice, but all in all, if you are looking for a great WWII shooter, just stick with Call of Duty 2 and World at War....more info
