Customer Reviews:

  • Nice and big.
Our family is growing by leaps and bounds so I need bigger cookware. This pan fit the bill. It's perfect to cook 4 or 5 pork chops in, or fry chicken or make other food without crowding the pan so every thing browns beautifully! I love it! The lid is taller than it looks in the picture, which I think is a little goofy looking, but it works well, and if you have something really big in there like a whole chicken or a roast i guess it's a good thing. Over all, the bottom is very thick and great for heat distribution, the sides are thin to keep the price down and the pan light. I am very happy with the quality and design of this pan. The only reason I took a star away is that this is made in China. I did not see that in the description when I ordered it....more info
Satisfied with the price of $39 and free delivery compared with some other site that sold it for $80 plus delivery. A great addition to my kitchen....more info
  • A pan for all seasons
I have the cusinart non-stick everyday pan too. I like them both. The Non-stick comes with a glass lid that fits both pans. As does the steel dome cover lid fits both. Both are easy to clean and I find that the steel pan has a heavier bottom. It heats up nice cooks evenly and my Older daughter prefers it because she loathes non-stick pans. I use this pan for stir fry and one pan dish meals & Pan fried fish. And unlike the non stick pan this goes in the dish washer. But hand cleaning has not been a probelm. I like it and the high dome cover is a real plus. An excellent buy at 30.00 bucks. I would recommend this pan. It will stay on your stove. It gets used that much!Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover Compare them both. The steel lid has a higher dome. ...more info
  • Not easy to clean
A few of the reviews have commented that this is very easy to clean but it has not been my experience. The pan is quite shallow so I get oil splatters all over the stove. After a few uses, there is a brownish tarnish on the inside of the pan that I cannot get out. ...more info
  • Think they changed the name...
Cuisinart has two different grades of cookware. I've bought a couple of sets and seven or eight seperate pieces of what used to be called Chef's Classic over the last five or six years, and I love it!. One time I mistakenly ordered a set of the cheaper lighter weight pans. I quickly returned the set. That is what this pan is. I ordered it, and I'll keep it, but it's far inferior to what I already have. This is not nearly as well made. I see they now have a MultiClad Pro line... Seems as if they changed the names....more info
  • Happy with Purchase
I'd been shopping around for a good, large non-stick pan for quite a while before deciding on this one. This pan compares very favorably in quality to those I found in the B&M stores around here and the price was lower, too.

At first a skillet with no long handle seemed a little awkward, but after one sink soak, that became a favorite feature. I've used it to dry sear a large rump roast and, in doing so, badly blackened the interior of pan, but a paste of baking soda/vinegar brought it back to almost new.

The pan is very lightweight, especially the lid, so that's keeping me from giving it 5-stars, but with proper care, I expect to get my money's worth out of this pan and would purchase again....more info
  • Excellent Value
Purchased this pan to replace a same-sized non-stick pan because of health considerations and all the favorable reviews here. This pan is solidly and beautifully made. It does make a very nice presentation statement and should last forever. It cooks evenly and has a special lip which makes pouring easy and facilitates the sealing of the lid, which makes chicken and fish turn out wonderfully moist and delicious. However, no matter what method of oiling, preheating, closing the lid, etc., my food still always sticks to some extent - probably this is the downside for healthy stainless steel - but the pan is easy to clean after some hot-water and dish-washing-liquid soaking. Note: the lid is solid stainless steel so not 'see through', but a clear 12" universal frying pan lid fits just fine... This pan is way worth it: it's beautiful, cooks well, is healthy, and easy enough to clean. The price is unbelievable. Five Stars, Excellent Value!!...more info
  • Pan is perfect!
I love the whole cuisinart line. That would include the appliances as well as the cookware. This pan meets all the standards that cuisinart has been known for. It's beautiful and goes from the oven to the table. The price is outstanding. ...more info
  • Great Cookware!
I agonized over buying new cookware when I discovered I was serving my family's meals with a side of teflon flakes. The reviews were so great for the Chef's Classic line that I decided to start with this one. I love this pan! I have had this pan for almost 3 months now, and I use it "everyday" just like it said. It's really easy to clean, just get some barkeeper's friend cleaner. I thought the transition from nonstick to stainless would be tough, but it's been great. Make sure you use enough oil, or whatever fat you use, and keep the temperature lower than you usually would. I'm working on getting my husband to buy me more items in this line....more info
  • Poor Quality
I purchased this pan locally after seeing all of the positive reviews on Amazon. We used it a few times and then noticed that the inside stainless cooking surface was starting to pit. The stainless steel finish was so thin that it started coming off from normal use with utensils such as spatulas or spoons. This pan was made in China. I believe that Cuisinart's quality has decreased since they first introduced the Chef's Classic line. I returned the pan....more info
  • Great pan!
This is a wonderfully useful pan, good for everything from stirfry to steaming ears of corn. Cleans up beautifully. Great value!...more info
  • My favorite pan!
This pan replaced my large nonstick frying pan. I was a bit concerned about sticking food and cleanup, but haven't had a problem at all. This pan is lighter weight than I am used to, but I like that. Makes it much easier to handle. I love that I can use this beautiful pan to serve as well as cook. I highly recommend this item!...more info
  • sweet deal
I was looking for stainless steel because I have a parrot and teflon is dangerous for them if I burn something on it. They will die instantly.

So I had looked at many different sets and came accross this one. I didn't know what to expect since it was so cheap. When I opened up that box I was thrilled! the pan is very nice! It looks very high end and is quite thick compared to the cheaper walmart stuff. The handles are awesome and I can touch them while cooking without burning myself. The lid is really really nice as well. I am highly impressed!

The food cooks very evenly and very very nicely! It even tastes better!

For cleaning it is a little bit of a pain. If I actually rub the oil into the pan (not just pour and coat, but use my fingers) then it is somewhat easy. I found that if I put water in in immediatly after I take the food out, and put it back on the stove (with it off of course) and let it soak while I eat or washing the other dishes, then it comes off really nicely!

oh and never ever use high heat on ANY stainless steel, cheap or high end! It cooks evenly and much faster than any non-stick pan I have ever seen and if you cook at high heat you will burn your food and you will be scrubbing for all eternity and need a new pan....more info
  • really is for everyday
i use this pan quite often, its easy to clean and is a good size for our family of 4, 2 adults, 2 teens. i can make a big meal, then have enough leftover for hubby's lunch the next day. it doesnt' seem to need as high of heat to do the job. the lid is really great, being so high-domed. it seals with the lid on, makes the food moist. the sides of the pan are fairly thin, the only complaint i'd have of this pan. for the price, its a great purchase....more info
  • Excellent buy
We had been looking for a good pan to replace our old Meyer skillet. This really fits the bill. We no longer trust the non-stick pans and this one is easy to clean and does well in the dishwasher....more info
  • 12' cuisinart every day pan
I bought this pan about a month ago and have used it with several different meals and I love it, some foods do seem like they may want to stick but I think it is all in getting used to cooking on "real" pans again after using teflon for years, the pan is so easy to clean up just follow the directions for cleaning and no problem and no scubbing to speak of at all, I am going to try the smaller sizes next, I think you would be very happy with this pan....more info
  • Impressive
I used this pan the very first day I received it. I used it to saute chicken breasts. The pan can easily fit up to six. It cooks very well and is indeed like a non-stick pan, if you preheat it before adding your cooking oil (how-to instructions come in the box). It is a very attractive pan. I took it from the stove to the dinner table. My children were impressed. They said, "Mom this looks like a professional restaurant meal!" Good everyday pan and incredible value. ...more info
