  • Must have for Live gamers!
If you play Xbox Live and have wireless internet then this is the product for you! Sure, the price may be a little off putting at first but once you get it you will realize it was money well spent. Installation was easy and took less than three minutes and the connection is always great; I have yet to experience any problems! If you are looking for a wireless adapter for your Xbox I'd strongly recommend this item! ...more info
  • Must have for xbox live
This is a great peripheral adapter. Works flawlessly for xbox live. Just make sure you have your wireless router secured, so your cheap neighbors can't slow you down by stealing your signal. You will also need to set up your router to allow xbox live traffic through the firewall. A quick call to motorola and I was up and running. The only frustrating thing is the additional cost. It bumps up the price very close to a PS3, which has built-in wireless and a blue-ray player as standard features. I would still recommend the Xbox 360 for online gaming over the PS3, even though it's a paid service and sony online is free. If your 360 is in the living room and your internet modem is in your office, like mine, then you can't go wrong. It's a pain running a 50 foot ethernet cable to your xbox everytime you want to get online. ...more info
  • Xbox Network Adapter Desearves A+
The Xbox 360 network adapter may not be the cheapest accessory you will buy for your Xbox, but if you dont have a way to hook up your xbox via wired internet conection it WILL be the most valiable. The network adapter delivers top notch conection speeds and looks sleek cliped to the back of your 360. Great product, took me a while to finaly give in and pay a hundred bucks for one, but is well worth it. I enjoy having xbox live again in my new house where I have to have the addapter to connect to the internet....more info
  • XBox 360 Wireless Adapter
This is one expensive little puppy but it works great and it was a Christmas present so part of that budget item. Hardware installs very easy and if you can correctly enter your 64 digit security firewall key correctly the first time it works great ;-)...more info
  • Wireless Adapter is GREAT

  • doesn't work with Apple router
I don't use this thing, but my son, the budding game designer, does. He can't live without it. Well, he can, but it makes him unhappy. Anyway, from what I understand, it works very well, even in the two story house that he rents with roommates at college. We did find out that it doesn't work with the Apple Airport router systems. It just won't accept the passwords, etc. From what I understand from both the Apple people and the XBox people, it is because of the not officially acknowledged Apple/Microsoft rivalry. That means that when at my house, or my dad's house, the kid has to hardwire in. It seems as though Microsoft ought to get over it already. The Apple stuff just works, that's why some of us like it. Not going to change because of this kind of stupidity. But otherwise the thing is great....more info
  • you get what you pay for
Well I thought that buying it off Amazon since it was cheaper was a good Idea, but I installed the adapter and it worked for five minutes and then it just stopped working. I would suggest just getting it from Walmart because then at least you can go get another one if it doesn't work, it might cost a few dollars more, but its worth the hassle of getting a broken one....more info
  • What else can be said?
Detailed set up instructions are easy to find here so there really is no reason for me to go into it. It was wicked easy; I didn't even read the instructions. I literally plugged it in, Xbox found it, I put in my custom password, I was playing COD4 within 2 minutes. Yeah it's pricey but I no longer have a cable running from my spare room, somehow that's worth it to me. ...more info
  • Great Product so far

  • Works great, great range

  • Review of 360 Wireless Network Adapter
The reason I bought the adapter is because my girlfriend and I bought an xbox 360 and to play xbox live you need the adapter. It is a great product and works great. If you are an xbox live person and need an adapter, I advise buying it online if you can find it for a cheaper price. Because this product at was less expensive than at walmart. Hope that helps somewhat!...more info
  • No problems, easy to install and connect, rarely drops signal across apartment.
Solid device. Running from the other end of the apartment from my router, it rarely drops the signal. Only downside is the cost is rather pricey. ...more info
  • Works well, as it should for the price.
Works great. Sure it's pricey, but keep an eye out for it on sale here or elsewhere. I paid $70, I've heard of others getting it for as low as $40.

Regardless of the price, it works very well. Plug it in, go to the system settings, and plug in your security code for your network, and you're good to go. I didn't even have to change the Firewall settings on my wireless router, which was a nice surprise. Wireless connection seems pretty fast too, faster than the one on my PS3, but it's hard to tell really....more info
  • Pretty Good
I just need to say that I love this product, especially at such a good price! I've been on Xbox Live almost everyday since then. The only problem I had was that the signal got disrupted whenever someone called my house, for I have a cordless phone which runs on 2.4 GhZ....more info
  • Piece of (expensive) garbage
After having and enjoying a Ps2 for more years than I can count on one hand, I finally caved and bought an XBOX 360. Why, you ask? I found out one of my favorite games, Midnight Club, wasn't going to release it's forth installment to ps2. Since I came to 360 somewhat late in the game, I was ignorant to all the online, hard drive stuff, and essentially bought way more system than I needed (an elite). Once everything was figured out, I decided that I may as well get my money's worth and sign up for a gold membership to Xbox Live, so I could use all that damn memory for something decent (like multi-player, or so I'd hoped).

The way my spot is set up, we have a computer room upstairs and a big screen downstairs. Obviously, a direct hook-up to my cable modem was out of the question, so I needed an alternative. That's when this piece of garbage was suggested to me. So, there I was, ignorant yet again, plunking down 100 plus dollars for an Xbox 360 "Wireless Network Adaptor."

I got it home, plugged it in, and nothing. No signal. Squat. I called my cable company, there were no problems w/ my modem. I checked and double checked my router, no problems. Everything was working fine, I just couldn't get a signal. The distance between my computer room and my big screen is way less than 150 feet (the supposed distance this thing can reach), although there are a couple of walls in the way.

After trying every possible router and xbox moving combo, I realized that it wasn't going to work, so I tried something else. I moved the xbox and adapter to the same room as the computer and the router and plugged it into a small SD tv set. Now I had a three bar connection, but it was so slow that I was pratically ripping my hair out. After carefully reading over the specs on everything, it hit me; It's nearly impossible to do anything with this adaptor short of downloading updates! 100 dollars to wirelessly download updates? Are you kidding!!?!? What a f%#@ing joke.

Long story short, you won't be able to do multi-player on Live Gold with this adaptor. You probably won't even be able to download videos or music. And if you're more than a few feet away from your router, or surrounded by even paper thin walls, you won't be able to do a dang thing. Period.

I don't want to get into an XBOX 360 vs. PS3 battle here, as I will conceed that 360 graphics and frame rates are superior, but ps3 has built-in wireless that actually allows you multi-player and strong signal connection. All systems are priced about the same now, so it's worth looking into.

I would absolutely not recommend this product for anything more than 20 or 30 dollars.

  • convenient
Convenient and allows us to play the xbox anywhere in the house without having to think about distance or what's in between it and the wi-fi signal. I was disappointed to hear it's proprietary to the xbox and that it can only be used on the xbox. It's the best for it's price considering it's really the only wifi card and the other options could be complicated networking of multiple devices...more info
  • It is what it is
It does what it says it does. It works well. It is way over priced, but it's a must have if you can't have your xbox wired....more info
  • The definitive upgrade for the Xbox360
It takes a while to set up, depending on your wireless system at home, however, once in place, it opens up a world of possibilities. Not only your xbox goes on line wireless, but with use of Windows Media Players, music and videos will appear on your big TV screen. No more watching Divx movies in the little dinky computer screen!! I am very happy I spent the 80plus bucks!...more info

  • Pricy but Necessary
I read bout other routes to hook it up wirelessly less expensive but decided to get the offical adapter as I wanted to have a good clear signal. This is absolutely necessary for me cause I keep my gaming equipment in the living room and all my computer internet equipment in a bedroom. To me it was important to get this so I could get onto live and see what that was like.the price is the downside they should of included something built right into the machine or should in a future machine that would of been even better. Nothing to complain about it gets the job done works great with a linksys router which I have. No complaints far as what it does is concerned it just should be less pricey thats all. ...more info

  • Has difficulty with walls
The 360 wireless adapter was fine except when I wanted to watch Netflix in HD. Unfortunately the adapter did not get strong enough of a signal to permit this so I have 200 feet of ethernet running through the house. That being said, it is expensive but worth it if your wireless router is close to your system and there are not 3+ walls between it. ...more info
