Product Description

Easy to read 0.7" LCD readout. Minute second timing. Times up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds. Counts up or down. Water resistant. Clip magnet stand positioning. Uses 1 "AAA" battery (included). 1 year limited warranty. White.

Great for the kitchen, workout room, or home shop, this small digital clock/timer is useful in counting down cooking time, timing circuit training exercises, or tracking paint or wood glue drying time. No bigger than the palm of a hand, the timer is magnetized to stick to a refrigerator or stovetop or, alternatively, hangs via a clip or mounts onto a table with its wire stand. The large 0.7-inch LCD screen is easy to read and displays the current time in hours and minutes. When set for timing, the instrument displays in minutes and seconds and times up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds, which is ideal for monitoring cook times on dishes that require slow cooking, such as braised meats. The timer counts either up or down and emits a beeping noise when time has elapsed, which is easily turned off by pressing the Start/Stop button. The timer runs on a single AAA battery (included), and Taylor ensures complete accuracy in its readings through a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Customer Reviews:

  • Arrived Broken
The LCD was broken when the product arrived. One of the numbers would not display. Aside from that, the product felt very cheap. I guess if it had arrived in working condition it would be worth the six bucks (hence the 2 stars), but I had to go buy something better....more info
  • Simple to use timer.
Easy to use. No frills. One nice feature is it will also count "up" as well as "down." Loud alarm. Excellent....more info
  • Bought 4--all broken within months
I got a good price on these, so I bought four of them for work. A few months later, they all stopped working. Very cheaply made. Don't waste your money....more info
This is a great and cheap timer. We needed it for a large-scale speaking competition in which the speakers had time limits and volunteers were used to time them. This product was easy for the person timing the competition to learn and use.

We are saving these timers until next year. I wish they had an on/off switch. Because they don't, and we don't need all of the timers until next year, we had to remove all the batteries....more info
  • Cheap quality. Breaks easily.
We bought about six of these to time students taking tests. Yes, they measure how much time students have left. That's the good.

The bad? Everything else. The buttons are hard to push. The build quality isn't that great. But the worst part for us is that the little stands on the back break off very easily, so they basically lie flat, with the numbers facing the ceiling, which means students can't see the numbers very easily.

The problem is that plastic parts on the back break because they are too thin. This has happened to just about all of the timers we bought--one by one, they are becoming useless.

And I don't think that these are all that cheap. They're seven bucks or so a pop; you can buy digital watches for less....more info
  • Great item
I have been using this timer for about a year now and it's perfect. I love the stand and the magnet back and the clip for my pocket. Works well in any situation I am in. Great for kids time-outs too....more info
  • Taylor Timer review
Teachers are using this timer for reading screening assessments. Easy to use, the beeper isn't overpowering and is perfect for our use. We need both the minute and second feature, resetting is easy to use and reliable....more info
  • Display failed right out of the box
Display started to fail right after I opened it. Stay away from this product....more info
  • OK. Wish it could turn off.

Received this item from Amazon this week. I like the look and feel of the little timer but I can't figure out how to turn it off. I don't think it turns just sits in my drawer while the battery drains. They should add a little on/off switch...even my son's freebie Happy Meal games have an off switch....more info
  • Can't hear it!
If you are looking for a timer that you can hear go off from another room while something is cooking in the kitchen, DON'T BUY THIS ONE! You can barely hear it if you are holding it....more info
  • Digital Timer for Exercise Motivation
I lost my previous timer and didn't exercise that day. I had been exercising for nearly three years (except for sickness). After several more days, I had to have another.

I mix up my cardio, but want a minimum of 30 minutes. With the timer, I can set it for the 30 minutes, then it beeps when I reach my goal. Or I can leave it at 0, start it and work out.

I like the large digits. I can see it without having to stop (my work out). I don't think I can ever do without it. And it's not a complicated piece, just three buttons, clearly marked, and a two-button combination to clear. Nothing else to learn.

My timer also helps me to slow down my Weight Training routine (for maximum benefit). Besides exercise, I use it to push myself to do other chores I don't care for. I really this timer....more info
  • Handy, but not durable
This item is easy to use, but does not last very long. Luckily, it is inexpensive, so I don't mind buying replacements...more info
  • Minute by Minute
I got this for my Mom to use for timing by Dad's exercising and it is easy for her to use. She only wishes it was louder. But it works well and stays set....more info
  • Go clipless
It works as a timer and, after timing out, it resets itself. That means that I can time 20 minutes and then it resets to 20 minutes so I can repeat.

Anyway, I don't like it. The magnet is mounted to the back of the clip resulting in poor balance. When it is stuck to the fridge and I poke buttons the thing often spins upside down or falls to the floor.

I'm replacing it with one having no clip....more info
  • Like this product a lot
I was looking for a small, portable timer like this. Main reason I purchased this one was reading previous reviews; I did not want a very loud timer, just a pleasant but persistant beeper. Shipping costs and packaging a little over-kill for something so small, but I'm very happy with it. Easy to use, easy to take with me. Would get it again, but maybe look more for one locally. ...more info
  • Works all right
For some reason it falls of my fridge and the battery guard comes off each time. It also beeps each time I push the seconds or minutes buttons so I have to listen to beeps while I'm entering the amount of time I'd like it to track for me. But, other than that it works just fine....more info
  • Works well, really basic
Works as well as you can expect. The functionality is pretty basic, though, just a timer with pause.

It doesn't seem obvious (or possible) to adjust the set time down if you happen to overshoot it when setting. For example, when setting 50:00, if you accidentally go to 54:00, seems that you have to clear the setting and start over.

I'm hard pressed to decide whather I like this one better than my $1 mechanical timer I got from the dollar store. This one is quieter, I guess....more info
