Complete with wind measurements, this weather station allows users to assess outdoor temperatures and humidity levels to plan appropriately for weather conditions, while also monitoring indoor climate for household comfort.

The sleek station mounts on a wall or stands alone on a tabletop. An easy-to-read display backlit with LED conveys indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity levels, air pressure, time of day, date, wind speed and direction, wind chill and dew point, lunar phase, and daily minimum and maximum recording for temperature and wind speed. Simple graphic icons depict the indoor comfort level, while other graphics denote the outdoor forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours with 75 percent accuracy. A beaufort scale bar graph depicts wind speed. Users can view temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius increments, and can opt to display time of day in military time. The weather station also includes an alarm clock that sounds with increasing volume to rouse sleepers gradually. Radio-controlled by WWWB, the clock resets daily for continued accuracy.

An outdoor temperature sensor and wind speed sensor also accompany the system. The two sensors can interlock to share both wireless communication to the base unit and common power source. The Weather Channel offers a satisfaction guarantee, reimbursing dissatisfied customers less shipping costs for thirty days after purchase. This item measures 9 by 4-3/4 by 1-1/4 inches, and weighs 3 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

Customer Reviews:

  • Good weather station, but wind device does not work, so buy the lower priced item without
I had a weather station before and it was about half the price of the new one and the difference is a little different graphics and the wind and wind chill element. I installed it just the way the directions had provided, but the wind and wind chill do not work. When there are winds of 30 mph it shows at best 2.2 mph. I go down and make sure that it is turning, and it is. So save yourself some money and do not buy the one with the wind device....more info
  • Don't waste your money.
I have had nothing but problems with this unit. The external unit does not sync well. The outdoor components are not intended for outdoor use. No weather sealing at all. ...more info
  • Wireless Weather Station
I researched this item with the manufacturer's website, and was pleased to find that Amazon had the same item, including the wind accessory, for a much better price! The item arrived in a very timely manner, right before Christmas, and my husband was thrilled. I wish I had known that the wind cups had to be mounted on the roof, because that was a challenge, but the unit works great and we are having a lot of fun with it....more info
  • Great Gift!
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loved it! He installed it right away and is constantly checking the wind speed. I like knowing what the humidity is in the house, and the little face smiles when it is in the confort zone. I highly recommend this product!...more info

  • Windless
I received this unit as a gift and most of it worked, well sort of, the wind read out does not work at all and the humidity is very inaccurate. I did contact La Crosse and wasn't about to pay shipping both ways and insurance to return the product, so I will donate the unit to a yard sale....more info
  • Love It
We love this weather station. Just make sure that you get the wind part up high enough to give you the right reading. You do not want to put it were anything is blocking it other. It is great and very correct. Like ours so much that bought one for a gift for someone else. ...more info

  • My Wife Loves It!
I bought this item as a gift for my wife, and she just loves it. The set-up and installation was very easy, and has been reliable from the start. When I was looking at weather stations, I was initially interested in getting one that received a five day forecast broadcast automatically. Fortunately someone recommneded that I view the coverage area first, and you guessed it, I couldn't receive the broadcast from my home. So, I ended up getting this weather station and I'm well satisfied with it. I recommend that if you are looking at one of those that receives an automatic forecast signal check the manufacturer's web site for coverage, the coverage isn't as broad as you might think! ...more info
