Product Description
If you need to maintain discreet surveillance of a sensitive area without all the hassle of concealing a camera in the wall or ceiling, the First Alert TBW-103 2.4 GHz Wireless Teddy Bear Camera allows you to put a color camera in places where it's difficult or impossible to run video cable. This unit appears as a regular child's teddy bear, but houses a fully concealed camera, allowing it to be placed in plain sight and making it ideal for covert operations. Able to transmit sharp, color images up to 300-feet from wireless camera to wireless receiver, the TBW-103 observation system includes listen-in audio and an audio/video output for connecting to a VCR for recording. The First Alert TBW-103's receiver features a built-in three-position auto-switcher for multiple camera support, and standard audio and video outputs for connecting to most any TV or monitor. The TBW-103 receiver has an operating temperature of approximately 15 to 105-degrees Fahrenheit, and can run via an included 10-volt DC power adapter. The First Alert TBW-103's camera transmits on the 2.4 GHz signal system to allow reception through walls and ceilings, and includes a built-in microphone for transmitting one-way audio.Completely hidden inside a plush white teddy bear, this unit utilizes a 0.33-inch color CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) image sensor with a 3.6mm fixed wide-angle lens, and achieves a horizontal resolution of 330 TVL (TV lines). This camera has an operating temperature of approximately eight to 144-degrees Fahrenheit, and can run via an included power adapter or off of a built-in NiMH rechargeable battery for complete camera portability. Technical Features: - Wireless frequency: 2.4 GHz system
- Camera resolution: 330 horizontal TVL
- Image sensor: 0.33-inch color CMOS
- Operating temperatures: 15 to 105-degrees Fahrenheit
- Camera dimensions: 0.75 x 3.5 x 0.75 inches (W x D x H)
- Camera transmission distance: up to 300 feet
To prevent interference with other 2.4GHz wireless devices in your home, the First Alert TBW-103's camera and receiver can operate in any of three frequencies, which allows you to expand the TBW-103 into a three-camera system. Users should note that the CMOS image sensor in this camera may become permanently damaged if exposed to long hours of direct sunlight or halogen light, so the camera should not be mounted or pointed directly at the sun or other bright-light sources. About Surveillance Camera Technical Features Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. The camera's resolution should be greater than or equal to the resolution supported by the system's recorder or monitor. The S/N, or signal to noise ratio, is an important measure of a camera's quality. A poor camera, low-light conditions or poor wiring causes "noise" which consumes processing power and disk space. A camera with a wide dynamic range is ideal, especially for recording areas in which both indoor and outdoor light are present. CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors provide high-quality images that are less susceptible to noise. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient. What's in the Box Wireless receiver, wireless camera, 2 power adapters, and A/V cable.
