Customer Reviews:

  • Great Watch
I use this watch to count and time laps in the pool. So far so good. I did read that you should not push buttons under water to retain water resistance. It does what I need it to and can use it for other applications as well....more info
  • worst watch i've ever had
i've been running nearly all of my life and buy a new running watch about every year or two. and this watch is by far the worst one i've had. the colored parts on the side came off. when i swam, it fogged up. then the first number "1" went blank so I could not tell if it was 11:00 or 1:00, etc. the color of the band also faded to a gross brownish color. i bought another one with the elastic strap b/c of the gross coloring of the other one, but the watch itself had all of the same problems, except that this time the whole thing went blank after a couple of months. i used to love timex iroman watches, but this model sucks.

  • Can withstand a washing in a washing machine!
By mistake my new watch was part of a load of wash. I found it at the end of the cycle. It was "foggy" and even stopped for two hours later in the day, but then started again and lost the fog. It is good as new, though did get a bit scratched up..... and VERY clean....more info
  • Stylish and Affordable!
This is my 3rd Timex in 10 years and will continue to be a fan of this brand. The watch itself is light, friendly, reliable and even stylish. The only thing I wished it had was a HR monitor. ...more info
  • Does the job
I've had Women's Ironman Timex watch's for years, and I'm not a big fan of the new design. The plastic constantly pops off around all 4 outer buttons (not so that the watch falls apart, but so it looks funny, and I worry that it might actually break. The actual watch portion works fine - all the usual bells and whistles....more info
  • Watch Band Cleaning...?
Has anyone found a way to clean the watch band of this or any other Timex watches (those with similar, plastic bands)? I've tried a variety of cleaning agents: soap/water, rubbing alcohol, white vinegar, distilled bleach, Fantastic, Windex...the list goes on. Nothing has seemed to work.

I e-mailed the Timex company asking about cleaning instructions and received this e-mail:

"There is not way to clean those type of watches, the watch color fades,
we have to replace the complete unit when a consumer wants a new band.
    That charge is $10.00.

Discouraging, however I find it hard to believe that Timex has created something totally "uncleanable." Has anyone found a way to clean these watch bands?

  • Functional, not pretty
I like the features on this watch, mainly I wanted something I could use to do timed running intervals and this accomplished that. My biggest complaint is that the band rapidly stained and changed color, so it looks dirty all the time. Because of that I only wear it for workouts....more info
  • Timex Women's Ironman
Love this watch! This is my third Timex. It is one of the best watches I've owned. It keeps perfect time, clearly shows the date and time (in digital display), has a second hand, and I only need to change the battery approx. once every two years. It may not be fancy, but it certainly fulfills my every need in a watch....more info
  • Functionality is great, but the strap does not last.
This would be a good watch if Timex would provide a better strap. The functions are easy to set and it has a great 'night light' that has lasted the year or so I've owned it. The trouble is the strap, it cracked and broke. The strap is glued to the watch body, so not replaceable. Come on, Timex, if you're going to attach cheap resin bands to your watches, at least make them replaceable. ...more info
  • Repeat performance
I bought this watch because my other was stolen. After looking at all the other watches, I ended up buying an identical watch to my last. I just love the watch and the features are really easy to use. It's comfortable to wear all day long.

My only complaint was that it scratches easily and the light color of the band makes it show grime faster than my old one which was darker. That being said, I only use the watch for casual everyday wear so I'm very happy!...more info
  • Great features, low price
This watch has some great features: I particularly enjoy the three alarms, programmable for a certain day of the week, daily, or weekend chime. Having both a countdown timer and a chronograph is handy. The split chronograph really helps with my interval training. Great looks, comfortable, this watch has everything I need....more info
  • NEVER again
The display fogged up within a week. I got a replacement, and it's doing the same thing. Would NOT recommend this product. ...more info
  • Great watch
This watch is you would expect from any Timex watch. It's easy to read the face while running, easy to set, big button on the front for the light so no fumbing when wearing gloves for the little side button on some. It's lightweight if a bit stiff to start with, but eventually easied a bit with age. I only use it for running timing, not my everyday watch, but I'll buy one again when I lose this one (as I usually lose them long before they wear out). I haven't had it long enough to notice any real wear in the band yet, not sure if it'll wear out easier or not, but so far, so good (1 year)....more info
  • Timex Women's Ironman Triathlon Sleek 50/100 Watch
This watch did not last long in the water even though it said it was waterproof for 200 meters. It lasted 2 weeks.

If you plan to purchase it for water, look somewhere else....more info
  • I Love This Watch!
I love this watch so much that I have two of them. However, I don't use the watch features at all except for the time and date. I am allergic to metal. Even the little metal clasps will break out my skin. But I have never had a problem with this watch. I have received many compliments on the watch and would love to have one in every color....more info
