  • Awesome!!!
I love this. I am a stay at home mom of two. I love doing this during nap time and watching my shows on t.v. I've lost a total of 20 lbs in a month and 1/2. I do the gazelle along with a diet book called Joy's Life diet Book. You do work up a sweat. You have to make sure you put some effort into it. You just can't glide back and forth slowly. Pretend your running or speed walking. Love it!!!

  • Great machine for the price
I bought my Gazelle at the end of October and had lost 4 lbs by Thanksgiving. Fell off the exercising wagon after a trip to Tokyo, but am now back to at least an hour a day on the Gazelle and my clothes started fitting better after just a week. It's a great machine that gives you real results if you put in the effort. You do need to set your pace above a leisurely walk - I suspect the people complaining about the lack of "burn" just didn't exert themselves. My only complaint is that you can't set the resistance, but I get around this by moving faster. Plus -- it's a machine you'll actually use, and not for hanging your clothes on at the end of the day. I'm out the door for work by 8:00 and not home until 7:00 p.m., so I really like the fact that I can hop on and work out while watching TV at night before bed, or in half hour increments before and after work. I consider this a realistic exercise regime - you'll feel good without feeling beat after a workout, you can just hop on and go anytime you have a free minute, and you can do it in the privacy of your own home on a machine that takes up remarkably little space. ...more info
  • Rita Pgh Pa
I would recomend this product to all. It is a very stable machine and does work very well. Not hard to put together Had one before for many years and it finally gave out but did loose a lot of weight.I feel it is a lot easier to use than a treadmill....more info
  • Loving it so far . .
    Gazelle Edge

I was worried about the assembly but I discovered that was simple. The directions made it wasy to put together. The first few days my legs felt wobbly when I stepped off it but that has already stopped. I have a bad back and knee problems, making a treadmill difficult for me to use. The Edge is great because there is less pressure on those joints. I'm not over-doing it, only up to fifteen minutes at a time, but some days I use it twice. It's easy to adjust to and I never hate the thought of getting on it. A great piece of equipment for the money. ...more info
  • Ok workout machine
Machine is of medium quality, but great for someone who wants to start a low impact workout routine. It is a little difficult to find a rythem at first and can be a little akward. I did not get the DVDs that come with some of the Gazelle packages, and they may have been helpful for maximizing your workout. A decent machine for the money....more info
  • Love It!
First of all, my gazelle came super fast. It was easy to put together, and I got on it right away. I don't even feel like I'm exercising because it's so fun! I do it while listening to music, watching t.v., even talking on the phone. I have fibromyalgia and this is perfect for me. I get a good workout without the strain on my body. This is a must have....more info
  • A PERFECT EXERCISE FOR A BABY BOOMER WITH MS
I am a 53-year-old woman who has always been active. After being diagnosed with MS in July '08, I knew I wanted to continue to keep my body as strong as I could but could no longer walk long distances without becoming uncomfortable. The gentle glide of the Gazelle and my ability to control the speed and length of my stride is the perfect "medicine" for me. My 55-year-old sister and my 57-year-old husband have also benefitted! Now, every day, each of us does at least 10 minutes(that would be me!) to 25 minutes. We all plan to increase our daily times as 2009 progresses. I would recommend the Gazelle to any one at any age!...more info

I am an active person and no matter how i used this model i could not drop a bead of sweat. Of course i do not own this model and tested at a relatives. It is not worth the cost no matter how cheap....more info

  • Don't buy it
Well I bought this Gazelle just over a year ago. I wanted something cheap but I definitely got what I paid for. I liked the work outs..I was really overweight (though much less than the max 250 lbs) and just beginning an exercise program and needed very low impact.Well that it is..no resistance at all. But I liked just going and going for about 2 hours and at least getting the heart rate up.I could not wear sneakers with the pedals since they kept slipping off dangerously so I did it barefoot which really hurt my soles and made them numb. I figured it was just me and the type of shoes I was trying to wear. Then there was also an immediate and loud squeak that my neighbours used to complain about and which no amount of lube or WD 40 would fix.But I needed to lose weight so I kept on going till one day,the metal attachment for the cable just popped...while I was gliding. Needless to say,a rather nasty fall happened and I hurt my ankle and foot. Now it is a rather expensive clothes rack just sitting there. My advice...save up to buy a proper elliptical and give this product a miss....more info
  • Gazelle Edge's okay.
After reading so many good review about gazelle edge, I have decided to buy one to try it. It is not hard to use at all, and set up it's easy if you have a man around to help you. It is not a fun to use as it seen, because you are basically doing the same thing over and over again, so it is really boring even when I have my favorite show on. You really have to work on it for about 30 or more minutes to actually feel like a workout. This gazelle say it can hold up to 250lb. I'm around 217lb, and my boyfriend is 220, and this gazelle is holding up fine. I would recommend this product to overweight people that wants an easy exercise at home like me. But I don't think it will make a good workout for advanced people....more info
  • gazelle
I am very pleased with this product. I had tried my mother's Gazelle and loved it, but I could not find it in any of our local stores. The Tony Little website didn't even have any available. I was extremely pleased to be able to order it new from amazon.com.It is a great workout product and I recommend it to anyone who is serious about getting in shape....more info
  • Good cardio work out
I bought this item after reading reviews on the web. I am very happy with the Gazelle Edge because it allows me to get a good cardio work out session whenever I am in the mood for it. Excellent ratio price/quality....more info
  • Beware of Fitness Quest Customer Service
My review is not about the product. I haven't been able to use my product because it came broken. It was such a small part that I thought rather than go through the trouble of shipping it back to Amazon, I would just call Fitness Quest. Big Mistake!! It's been a month and a half and they have yet to get the correct part to me. In my initial call I described in detail what was broken and they told me it would come in 7 to 10 business days. After waiting the full 10 days, I still had not received it. I called back and so began another month of yes it's in stock, no it's not in stock, etc. They finally said the end of last week that they would overnight it. I received the part today and it's the wrong one. I'm so tired of dealing with them and my window to return the whole thing to Amazon ends this week (Amazon no longer sell them directly so I can't get an exchange). My advice is if there's anything wrong with your product, go back to the seller and don't bother dealing with Fitness Quest!...more info
  • Mediocre workout
I have been using the Gazelle Edge for a little over a month now and I am not that impressed with it. I don't break a sweat when using this machine, even after an hour. I think it is the same as walking down the street to get exercise...you don't exert yourself too much but it still keeps you active and burns a few calories. But by no means is this for someone wanting to get in shape or lose some serious weight. This machine is not for you if that is what you are looking for. I am content with using it while I watch TV. Its better than just sitting on the couch. So basically it is only a three star piece of equipment. If you are looking for something to give you a great, 1000 calorie burning workout then keep looking for something else....more info
  • gazelle edge review
I love my gazelle. It is easy to use, fairly easy to put together, and quiet enough so I can watch TV while I do it. It is not exhausting, yet I feel as if I got some exercise after 20 minutes on it. It is not a real aerobic work out, but it is what I was looking for. ...more info
  • Best way to exercise
I just turned 61 and wanted to get back into shape. I used a Gazelle previous to my purchase and found it to be the best way for me to go. The fact that it does not put too much stress on my knees is important for me. I really enjoy the way it glides along and I actually find it a relaxing way to exercise. You do need to assemble it but if you are used to putting things together then it is a piece of cake. The directions are very specific and not like many that are written up by people who are not familiar with the English language. That made it relatively easy to assemble. It folds together for storage and does not take up a lot of room. I found that the meter that comes with it is sufficient for my needs. And it is well made and sturdy...not like other pieces of equipment. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend it and I would make the purchase again....more info
  • A must have for lower back pain
For the last year I have tried everything to get rid of the lower back pain, caused by SI joint issues and some herniated discs. I have seen doctors, chiropractors, completed sessions of spinal decompression and all the relief was temporary. Over the last year I have gained close to 30 pounds due to inactivity and depression caused by the sharp pain and stiffness. I live in NYC and my doctor said that I should not even be walking for long periods, as the hard concrete was not helping the compression of my spine. That is when I started looking for somthing I could do at home, and found the Gazelle Edge. I started using the Gazelle Edge 3 weeks ago and use it for 40 minutes 5 times a week. I am feeling 50 times better. My back has improved immensely and for the first time in a long time I am exercising regularly. My only grip is that it must be used on carpet, so we have to put mats down under it, as we have hardwood floors. Even with the mats I ended up moving feet from where I started and have scratched the floor and torn up my yoga mat. This is not an intense workout, but you can get your heart rate up and do strength training for your arms, butt and legs. Never underestimated the healing powers of exercise. ...more info
  • I love it
I purchased this 2 years ago, at that time i was overweight 160 lbs, im 5'5 and female. It started to get me back into exercising and back in shape, since then i have gone back to the gym, and do other exercises at home and i weigh 125 lbs now.
This is the only exercise equipment that I have not used as a coat hanger. Some days when i dont feel like going to the gym or want to get cardio in i will go on this from 20-50 minutes. At 50 minutes the readout says i burned 600 cals. Im also dripping in sweat during this workout. I have read people complain that its not a sweat inducing workout, that is 100% wrong, you have to up your energy on this,, i go pretty fast and my heart goes up to 155. I also do fast intervals, for instance for minute i will go as fast as i can and then slow the pace and up it again a notch.. Its alot fun as well and never boring, i like to watch tv or listen to music when i do the workout.
Also people say the machine squeaks, just spray it with W4 and it will stop.
I also love the fact that its quiet, if its late at night and i want to get a workout in, I will get on it and not worry about my neighbours below.
The machine is really great for the legs and butt. I like putting my hands on the low level grip-that really works the butt. I have noticed my cellulite got reduced while using this in conjuction with doing squats.
I really reccomend this to anyone, thanks Tony little....more info
  • Jump Start
I purchased this Gazelle because I'm a single mother of two. I have an infant and I can not find the time to go to the gym with my hectic schedule of work and parental responsibilities. The Gazelle is perfect for me because I can get a good cardio workout after I've put my two children to bed. I don't have to pay for a sitter. I just set it up (doesn't weigh much) and watch TV while I exercise for an hour. This was just what I needed to jump start my weight loss. Due to the cold and snowy winter months I could not get out to walk or run with my baby so this worked out perfectly. I've already lost 10 pounds in one month....more info
  • Good Workout, Easy on Knees
Having recovered from a knee sprain, I was looking for a way to workout which didn't involve impact. Since my knee is still healing and is a bit sensitive, I was very happy to find that this piece of equipment provides a good aerobic workout without causing any knee pain. It's very quiet and folds flat for easy storage. It's very sturdy, too. I enjoy using the computer to track calories burned and distance traveled. The only downside is that it was a bit difficult to assemble because the bar was so tight, it wouldn't slip into place and had to be hammered in with a mallot. Also, when I first started using it, I had trouble locating an annoying squeek. I discovered that one of the preassembled joints had been over-tightened. Once I loosened the nut, the squeek went away immediately and it's been perfectly quiet ever since....more info

  • Gazelle Edge
I was looking for an elliptical that would be easy on someone who hadn't exercised in a while and would be easy on the knees. I am a busy woman as well, so i wanted something that I could get a 30min workout out of and feeling good about it. I was very happy with this. I have been working out on it for 30min. 5days a week and I couldn't be happier. By the end of the workout, I feel fantastic. I walk a lot, so I thought it wouldn't hurt my calfs but it did and I loved it. I would recommend this product to anyone. Also, it was easy to assemble which is a plus :)...more info
  • Decent for the price
I live in a small condo and needed something light and not bulky. This Gazelle worked out well for me. It comes in a box but it's not hard to put together. It squeaks a little but I squirted a little oil on the hinges and that seems to have done the trick. The calorie / timer monitor works well. I'd recommend this for the price....more info
  • Beats going outside in the cold
Easy to set up - even for one person. Only problem was a crack in the pedal, but haven't even sent a request for a replacement. It does not interfer with my workout. I use it first thing in the morning as soon as I wake up - beats going outside in the freezing cold for a walk. doesn't store under the bed, but easily folds up and stores against the wall so it is out of the way....more info
  • does it
I like the work out on it when the weather keeps my exercise inside, i especially like the folding & storage feature, since i hate large bulky exercise equipement. ...more info
  • Nice Burn
I'm a new mom of 28. Before the baby I was in the best shape of my life as a belly dancer and pole fitness addict. I was lucky enough to get one of these machines for free. My husband works at an appartment building and people throw out or leave behind things all the time. I always wanted one of these machines. Anyway, I have been getting on it 5 minutes at a time for a few days to get me back into exercising slowly and I can already tell it is toning up my legs. And I like that it isn't high impact. When I lean at various angles I can target other muscles and I break a sweat by the end of a few minutes, especially if I suck in my abs. I plan to do at least 1 mile a day, which is easily done, and work up to 5 or more. It will help me get in shape for those long stroller walks with the baby come spring.
Cons so far. It does take up a large amount of space and it is a little noisy. Also apparently still pretty expensive. I have to admit I would never have bought one unless it was severely discounted....more info
  • Great economical workout equipment
I really love my Gazelle. My recommendation is to put it in front of a TV, which totally takes your mind off the fact that you are exercising. Its also nice that you can vary the intensity of your work out. Either take it at a slow walking pace or turn it up to burn some more calories. Its quiet, and it folds away when not in use. ...more info
