Our 1/4" color waterproof bullet cameras are designed to operate underwater. This series represents the best camera for high moisture applications. The cameras can operate under 60 feet of water, and are well prepared to take on even the toughest weather conditions. They feature a removable sunshield to block sun glare and add extra weather protection. They are encased in brass housing with a black finish. They have white LED lighting at 0 lux with 350 line resolution. They also feature a 3.6mm lens with a built-in electronic iris. A 6 foot connecting cable, mounting bracket and 12V DC power supply are included with each camera. This camera is also offered in a model that has black housing (CVC-625WPS) or silver housing (CVC-625WPS/S). Resolution: 350 line. Minimum Illumination: 0 lux. This camera utilizes a 0.25-inch color CCD (charge-coupled device) sensor, with a resolution of 512-by-492 pixels or 350 TVL (TV lines). The CVC-625WPS includes a 3.6mm fixed-focus lens, and has a better-than 46 dB S/N (signal to noise) ratio. The unit's electronic shutter with an exposure time ranging from 1/60 to 1/100,000 of a second helps ensure an even higher picture quality. With a maximum operating depth of 60 feet underwater, the CVC-625WPS can operate in temperatures from -14 to 120-degrees Fahrenheit.

About Surveillance Camera Technical Features
Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three Lux would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the Lux level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. The camera's resolution should be greater than or equal to the resolution supported by the system's recorder or monitor. The S/N, or signal to noise ratio, is an important measure of a camera's quality. A poor camera, low-light conditions or poor wiring causes "noise" which consumes processing power and disk space. A camera with a wide dynamic range is ideal, especially for recording areas in which both indoor and outdoor light are present. CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors provide high-quality images that are less susceptible to noise. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient.
