Product Description

Tripp Lite expands its line of hard drive cables with the introduction of its new line of serial ATA cables. The signal cables connect any high speed Serial ATA device to a Serial ATA controller. Serial ATA delivers two significant benefits: it supports much higher data transfer rates (up to 1.5 Gbps) and the narrow cable design helps improve internal air flow. Perfect for the desktop or server that has multiple drives. This 19-inch cable features 7-pin straight/7-pin straight female connectors and offers easy installation.

  • Serial ATA signal cable
  • Connect your high-speed Serial ATA device to a Serial ATA controller
  • Supports data transfer rates of up to 3.0 Gbps
  • Cable is shielded to protect against EMI/RFI
  • 19 inches long

Customer Reviews:

  • Exactly as expected
Pretty simple: a cable. Has metal pieces that "snap" into the SATA drive for added security (security as in preventing the cable from being tugged out.) Cable works great.

It's made in China, but I suppose the fact that it has a Lifetime Warranty makes up for that. ...more info

  • Great Value
These cables are basically a commodity. This one caught my eye because of the low price. It functions perfectly...just as good as the "high priced brands". Recommended....more info
  • SATA cable
It is of good quality. I like the metallic spring lock that holds it firmly to the hard drive and motherboard sockets. My older SATA cables do not have locking springs....more info
  • Good Length
I thought it was not going to be long enough at 1st but it will run all the way to where I need in my tower so I guess my main point is it is exactly at it is described and does what it's supposed too....more info
  • SATAsfied
I'm satisfied with these cables. They do what they're supposed to do. I don't think they're price very competitively, but I needed one right away and I have a prime membership so there you go. I would suggest you buy a generic version for half the cost. Wiring is wiring... ...more info
  • If this doesn't do , nothing will.
Thought it would be to short looking at the package. It unrolled though to an amazing length that would easily fit any tower.

Don't let the name fool you either. I almost did. It is a SATA data cable for a SATA drive to hook to a motherboard. Nothing could be easier then hooking this up either. All you have to do is plug one end into the drive you wish to connect and the other into the motherboard. No fussing over pin 1 or master/slave jumpers like you have to do with most IDE drives. SATA drives are a wonderfully easy thing to hook up. Seriously doubt that there is anything easier to hook up then this.

The only thing you need to hook this cable and the drive to your motherboard(the flat square thing in your tower that everything is connected to) is a 1" long by 1" high tab on the motherboard that has a slight (almost so slight you won't notice at first glance) L shape to it....more info
