  I love my book stand/holder and I'll never be without one again!
  I use it for all my reading, including my cook book. The book stand/holder has solved the problem I had with my neck getting sore and getting knots under my arms from holding my books. I was constantly trying to find a comfortable position for reading. Problem solved!!! Now I sit comfortably at the table, or on the sofa with a TV tray, and read to my hearts content. A must have for people who love to read!

• book holder? I use this to hold my laptop upright at eye level
  I use this holder as a laptop stand, and it works great. I have more usable desk space and my laptop display and monitor are the same height. Currently I have three stands holding the following laptops HP tx1000, Dell D630, and Dell 8000. Works great as an economical alternative to more expensive laptop stands. The stand is strong, however my Dell Inspiron 8000 is the heaviest laptop I would safely use with one stand. I wouldn't recommend using one stand for those huge "desktop replacement" laptops. The stand also looks very good, and stable with the black rubber feet. By the way what are books? Maybe I'll ask Google. :)...more info

• great stand - very helpful
  I needed a stand to hold books while typing notes/quotes into the computer when writing papers. This stand does the job. The legs/page holders are adjustable so that it can accomodate different size books. It is great, especially for the price. It works to hold books while eating - which is great for students. It is compact and easily folds. I bought one for my desk at home, one for my backpack to keep with me at school and one for a friend (she loves it too!). ...more info
• Not for large books!
  I purchased this product in the expectation that it was rather large (per the picture showing a big book resting on it). Unfortunately it only holds books at a depth of 1.5 inches, which is useless for the programming books, and other textbooks I own. Also the stand doesn't have a lock, it is instead combined with the page holders on the front to create a rather cumbersome mechanism. The lack of any real helpful adjustments also made this purchase a regretful one. If you are going to use books of any real thickness, look elsewhere as I know I just wasted $10....more info
• Great book holder
  I have been looking everywhere for a holder for textbooks. I'm a student and I spend many hours hunched over my textbooks, destroying my back in the process. This is small, sturdy and perfect for textbooks. My only problem is that it doesn't accommodate courseware as easily (photocopies of readings bound together) because of the lack of a firm back. Softcover textbooks are no problem, but anything "flimsy" takes a little creativity (ie, putting a clipboard behind it so it stays up). Since that really isn't the use this product was intended for, I don't fault it at all - and at the price? Crazy!

  I am a law student and was getting sick of leaning over my books all the time. I bought this and it has worked well. My books fit into it and it is portable. Sure if I designed a book holder it would be a bit different, but I didn't and this one serves its purpose....more info
