7/30: Dropper-O a 'High Threat' Trojan

Panda Software has issued a high threat level for Dropper.O, a Trojan that drops and executes the adware detected by the security vendor as Adware/Nsearch, in the affected computer.

Dropper.O is downloaded to the computer affected by MhtRedir.N from an specific website. MhtRedir.N exploits the vulnerability described by Microsoft in the security bulletin MS04-013, in order to download Dropper.O.

The vendor strongly recommends downloading the corresponding security patch available from Microsoft's web site.
