2/7: Traxg-C is a Mass-Mailing Worm
February 7, 2005
The Traxg-C worm sends itself out to addresses found on the infected computer.

The worm spreads via network shares and email attachments, reports Sophos, Inc., an anti-virus and anti-spam company with U.S. headquarters in Lynnfield, Mass.

Traxg-C uses its own engine to send itself out to addresses found on the infected computer. It also installs itself into the Registry.

According to Sophos, the worm may display a fake error message box containing the following text:
Warning -- This Folder Has Been Damage!
