11/29: QLowZones-2 Modifies IE Settings
November 29, 2004

QLowZones-2 is a detection for multiple Trojans, all of which have the same standard characteristics, according to McAfee.

They are designed to modify the security settings of Internet Explorer by directly modifying the registry, then launching Internet Explorer to contact different websites.

These websites are then designed to install whichever software the attacker has decided to host on their site at that time.

More information can be found at McAfee page.
