10/28: Agobot-NU a Worm and Backdoor

W32/Agobot-NU is a worm and backdoor for the Windows platform. The worm spreads by exploiting a number of vulnerabilities and network resources protected by weak passwords and through backdoors opened by other worms and Trojans.

The backdoor component connects to predefined IRC servers and waits for commands from a remote attacker.

The software vulnerabilities exploited by W32/Agobot-NU are addressed by Microsoft security bulletins MS04-012, MS04-011, MS03-007 and MS01-059
