Colorado Schools Install CCTV Surveillance
The Douglas
County School District in Castle Rock, CO has selected VTI Security Integrators,
a SecurityNet member, to install a state-of-the-art security system including
surveillance cameras, digital video recorders and remote monitoring software in
each of the district's 54 elementary, middle and high school locations. Douglas
County School District is the fourth largest in Colorado with more than 44,000
students. Once installed, the district will monitor the 424-camera system from a
newly completed central station located at its security headquarters. The total
cost of the video surveillance project is valued at $986,000.00.
According to Bryan Viau, VTI's vice president of business development, the
district selected VTI because of its partnerships with key manufacturers
involved in the project, experience installing large-scale projects, and the
service resources VTI has in place to support this installation once completed.
Work on the project is already underway and is expected to be completed by
August 2005.
