Perseus Wireless, a leading technology company that develops mobile video applications for the security industry, announced today that its commercial and residential customers can now use the PerseusPhone in conjunction with Nuvico?s line of digital video recorders (DVRs) to access high-quality security video. "The Perseus Wireless system was developed to extend existing security systems, and our partnership with Nuvico extends its reach and functionality further," said Marshall Merrifield, CEO of Perseus Wireless. "The PerseusPartner Program will help us respond to growing customer demand with integrated solutions that are flexible enough to meet a variety of industrial, institutional and commercial security video needs." Nuvico is the first member of the PerseusPartner Program to release an integrated solution. The PerseusPartner Program provides the technical and business framework to enable DVR manufacturers to extend their systems beyond the control room to cell phones and other handheld devices. Perseus Wireless and Nuvico showcased their partnership at the ASIS International Show by demonstrating the PerseusPhone controlling a Nuvico DVR for camera selection, alarm notification and video display. "Until now, users of our DVRs could only access their security video on-site or through off-site computers configured with remote viewing software," said John Kwak, vice president of sales and marketing for Nuvico. "The integration with the Perseus Wireless system frees security professionals from their desks. They can now have alarm events emailed directly to their cell phone, and within seconds respond to the alarm event." About Nuvico About Perseus Wireless |
