Mooney to oversee Ultrak integration in Eastern North America

Ultrak Inc., Lewisville, Texas, has appointed Bill Mooney as vice president and general manager of the recently formed Ultrak North America East Professional Security and Systems Group. Mooney will oversee the integration of the Professional Security Group, Monitor Dynamics, and MAXPRO Systems in the Eastern United States and Canada.

David Hummer has joined Pinkerton, Encino, Calif., as managing director of the Logistics Security Consulting group, a newly established division devoted to safeguarding the inventory of multinational clients throughout the supply chain. Hummer will be based in Los Angeles and oversee operations in North and Latin America, Europe and Asia. Richard (Dick) D. Sem, CPP, has been named Pinkerton's regional vice president for the Northeastern U.S. region. The 28-year security management veteran has been with Pinkerton since 1996.

Andover Controls Corp., Andover, Mass., has promoted John Petze to vice president of marketing from his previous position as director of the systems integration business unit. Petze takes responsibility for marketing, technical support, educational services and the Peripheral Products group.

Atlas/Soundolier has promoted Gail Meili to the newly created position of director of customer service. In the position, she will direct Atlas/Soundlier's customer support activities and will oversee the company's inside sales staff.

Mitchell A. Rosenberg has been appointed vice president of marketing for Imaging Automation Inc., Merrimack, N.H. Rosenberg brings to the position more than 15 years of product marketing and development experience.

Joseph J. Gulinello has been appointed executive director, health care and education initiatives for Borg-Warner Total Security Solutions, a Chicago-based business unit of Borg-Warner Security Corp.

Kaba High Security Locks, Southington, Conn., has appointed Rick Eisen as Eastern regional sales manager. Eisen will supervise the sales and promotion of KABA's Gemini and PEAKS high-security product lines.

Steven G. Selfridge has resigned his position as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Checkpoint Systems Inc., Thorofare, N.J., to pursue other interests. His duties will be assumed by Kevin P. Dowd, Checkpoint president and chief executive officer.

Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel William R. Keith, vice president of Unisource Systems Inc., Federal Systems Division, Washington, D.C., has been appointed to the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association's Security Task Force. The task force, comprised of individuals from the federal and commercial sectors, is chartered to study the nation's security infrastructure.

Victor Polek has been promoted from Northeastern regional manager to vice president of American Protective Services, Oakland, Calif. Polek, who has been with the company since 1987, will continue to work out of the Westchester County, N.Y., office.

Kevin F. Brown has joined Westec Interactive Security Inc., Newport Beach, Calif., as national vice president of sales. Brown will be responsible for implementing a new nationwide consultative sales approach.

Susumu Hotta has been named president of Hitachi Denshi America Ltd., Woodbury, N.Y. Hotta, previously general manager of overseas sales for the company, hopes to expand market share in security systems, corporate communications, intelligent traffic systems, computerized image processing, and new camera technology for the medical industry.
