The self-contained weather proof Super Dynamic II Color Cameras WV-CW370
and WV-CW470A feature the most advanced combination of camera and video
technologies for excellent performance in virtually any lighting condition,
indoors or outdoors.
The company will also introduce the new WJ-HD300 series security Digital Video Recorder with advanced compression technology at the show. GITEX Dubai 2004, the largest IT exhibition in the Middle East region, will be held at Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from October 3 to 7, 2004. Commenting on the new line-up, Asahiko Ono, Deputy General Manager, System Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE, Dubai stated, 'The WV-CW370 and WV-CW470A series represent a new concept in surveillance cameras, not just in the Middle East, but globally as well. They feature the most advanced combination of camera technologies available to meet the highest performance expectations for virtually any application even under extreme climatic conditions.' 'Vandal proof cameras have become widely accepted by the security industry as we see cameras being deployed in more remote locations due to advancements in transmission technologies and networking. The new surveillance cameras can be used in any of the new state-of-the-art properties and projects being built in the region,' he continued. 'We anticipate demand from high-rise office and residential buildings, movie theatres, stadiums, museums, shopping malls, airport terminals and parking lots. All our CCVE products incorporate the latest advances in digital technology, while our rich array of security products is both a certain and rapid response to the needs of our time, answering the needs of a range of security system users from small size to large scale,' he added. The WV-CW370 and WV-CW470A leverage on Panasonic's expertise to deliver high picture clarity with an outstanding 510-line resolution (colour) and 570-line (black & white) in high mode. They are extremely versatile and can be used in any weather condition. Panasonic's advanced Super Dynamic II offers 64 times wider dynamic range when compared to a conventional camera while the Day/Night camera function with 3.8 to 8.0mm variable focus lens automatically switches from color in daytime to high sensitivity black and white at night. The cameras need a minimum illumination of only 0.8 lux (lumens per square meter) and built-in video motion detection with exterior mounted LEDs (light emitting diode) to serve as an added deterrent. The self-contained units conform to IP66 (weatherproof rating) standards to resist rain, wind and moisture. They can also be fitted with an optional heater/blower unit for use in changing environments. In case of a multiple cameras, the monitor displays a title identifying the cameras that is the source of the image for quick and accurate identification. The WV-CW470A Series Vandal Proof Dome Cameras incorporate a shock-resistant 3.5mm thick dome and aluminum body that incorporates a spring mechanism to absorb vibrations. For ease of installation, the WV-CW370 also comes with a versatile wall or ceiling mounting bracket. WJ-HD300 Series security Digital Video Recorder As part of the line-up at GITEX, Panasonic will also be introducing a new series of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), which feature a newly developed wavelet based compression algorithm that provides twice the compression of JPEG with excellent image quality. The WJ-HD300 Series of DVRs have been designed as a complete digital recording solution, combining advanced digital recording performance and features with the latest networking technologies. The WJ-HD300 Series is ideal for a wide range of applications, as it allows greater image storage capabilities resulting in longer recording duration times whilst providing faster network transmission speeds. In addition to the advanced compression technology, the WJ-HD300 Series comes packed with a wide range of sophisticated features designed for optimum simplicity. The units offer up to 16 independent recording profiles, where each video channel can be programmed via a user friendly graphic user interface independently. Camera images can be recorded in multi-screen displays at 50/100 images per second resulting in image sizes of 720 x 288 pixels and 360 x 288 pixels respectively. Individual cameras can be assigned to record at specific recording speeds and compression modes at any time/date configuration desired. The WJ-HD300 Series also features versatile event search and filtering parameters, such as time/date, camera number, recording mode and alarm activated recording, which can be triggered by the unit's built-in Video Motion Detection (VMD), video loss, terminal alarm or a serial command. Various Network Remote operations are possible such as live monitoring, PTZ camera control, recording and Playback and downloading of the recorded images with the digital video recorder. 'The WJ-HD300 Series DVR is a critical component in our 'digital one' concept since it employs virtually all of the capabilities now afforded to the security industry on a truly digital platform,' concluded Asahiko Ono. The WV-CW370 and WV-CW470A security camera range and WJ-HD300 series security DVR range is available through Panasonic's UAE distributor, Al Futtaim Panatech LLC, part of the Al Futtaim Group. |
