Average user reviews: Description:Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition offers significant reliability, scalability, and manageability improvements compared to Windows 2000 Advanced Server and is capable of supporting mission-critical workloads in enterprise data centers..Reviewed by: AlexanderAkulick from AL on Nov 10, 2003 Rating: Experience: 1 Months Strengths: Has higher security, easy server management, online updates troubleshooting and repair, and excellent networking controls including wireless. Weaknesses: I have found none. Summary: I have had 0 problems with this system and have seen few updates needed. This probably due to how new it is but also its higher security. It looks a lot like a simplified XP Pro with an added server management, improved networking controls, and reliability. The online support is excellent! If it sees a software issue, rather than crash, it shuts the offending program down on startup. Even so it is very compliant with most existing windows compatable software. Startup and installation both are quick and easy. Overall I'd say Microsoft has a clear win here with its 4 different server versions tailored to the individual system needs for improved performance without the clutter. You just pick the proper one for your system's processor(s) and that selection couldn't be easier. |
