Strengths: Never Freezes, no need to restart, very reliable, works well behind any router/firewall capable of virtual port forwarding so you dont need to change the router.

Weaknesses: None. For this price what else would you get :)

Summary: If you want to use direct with your dsl modem go ahead cuz it works with many dns services so no extra expense for static ip address. Works cool with some Power Over Ethernet Modules so no extra expenes to install power outlet.

Strengths: stand alone network device, 640x480 resolution

Weaknesses: lockups, lockups, lockups, clock must be software, doesn't keep time during lockups

Summary: be prepared to pull the power often to make it reboot,
lockup are common (30% of the accesses) when accessing the cam via local network,have not seen this issue when
accessing the cam via the internet, but have only accessed
it a few time via the internet.

Summary: I purchased this camera because I needed a web came fast and when I took it out of the box I was very disappointed in the way it looked. It was large and ugly. I wish D-link would take some lessons from apple's iSight camera and imprive this one. But then again the I sight costs 2 times as much as this one did. The picture quality was good and it was a breeze to setup the camera and get it going.
