Camera meets traffic control application requirements

CV-M2CL Camera an Outstanding Choice for Traffic Control

The CV-M2CL camera, designed for the specific requirements of traffic-control applications, features 2 megapixels of resolution (1600 x 1200). Measuring 40 (h) x 50 (w) x 120 (l) mm, the CV-M2CL is based on a 1" format Kodak CCD sensor (KAI-2001). The CV-M2CL has been equipped with a number of functions and features that make it uniquely suited to this market. These include: auto iris output, knee and gamma response curves, analog monitor output, (reduced resolution) and 5-image burst trigger.

The burst trigger is a unique feature that allows the capture of a sequence of 5 images at different shutter speed setting. In situations in which lighting conditions are uncertain (typically the case in outdoor environments), the burst trigger captures the same image at a range of shutter speeds. This allows the most suitable exposure to be later selected for further processing. Knee and gamma functions allow image capture in contrast-rich scenes, in which dark parts would otherwise be unrecognizable or bright parts bloomed. In addition to traffic control, the CV-M2CL's megapixel resolution also makes it suited for industrial inspection, especially in situations in which step-and-repeat operation is involved. At higher resolutions, fewer steps are required to inspect the same object.

The CV-M2CL is available now. Volume pricing is available upon request.
