Product Description

Hollywood's biggest celebrities and people just like you have transformed their bodies with Barry's Bootcamp. It uses a whole new way of working out called Focused Interval Training, or FIT, which burns fat up to 9 times faster than ordinary workouts. With Barry's Bootcamp, you'll get 6 fat-blasting and body-sculpting workouts, free bonus Hollywood CODE RED rapid-fire weight-loss system, and free bonus advanced training equipment.

As seen on such programs as The Today Show and Good Morning America and featured in such magazines as Us Weekly, People, and Shape, the Barry's Bootcamp complete workout system is among the most efficient and effective workout programs available. The complete package comes with nine workouts on three DVDs, along with a transformer, Barry's patented Power Handles, two sets of resistance bands, and Hollywood Code Red: 6-Day Rapid-Fire Weight Loss Workout and Eating Plan. Barry's Bootcamp is built around Barry's Focused Interval Training (FIT) system. Proven to burn fat nine times faster than ordinary workouts, the FIT system requires you to perform each exercise for just 60 seconds at 100 percent of your ability and then rest for 30 seconds. Barry's revolutionary exercise strategy, combined with his patented, raspy drill-sergeant tactics and fun atmosphere, creates a unique and irresistible workout environment that inspires and motivates "enlistees" to push harder and get into great shape fast. Barry's Bootcamp has become the hottest fitness ticket in Hollywood, boasting an A-list celebrity clientele that includes Katie Holmes, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney, plus thousands of others who sweat it out in classes every day.

Barry's Bootcamp includes such devotees as Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney.

The bundle includes a transformer that combines a workout bench and exercise ball.
The three DVDs include the Fat Blaster Upper Body Workout, a 21-minute workout that concentrates on your chest, arms, shoulders, and back; the Fat Blaster Lower Body Workout, which tones and strengthens your thighs and legs while lifting your butt; and the Mission Specialist Workouts, which target your problem areas in just 12 minutes. Users can choose from three Mission Specialist programs, one each for abs, upper body, and lower body. The Hollywood Code Red workout, meanwhile, is the workout and diet the stars count on to get red-carpet-ripped in just six days. A must for people who need to look good at the last minute, Hollywood Code Red is co-hosted by Pamela Anderson and Natalie Raitano, and offers a fun, challenging 15-minute workout and eating plan that will deliver the results you want fast.

Barry's Bootcamp fitness equipment is every bit as important as the DVDs. The transformer, for example, is a revolutionary combination of a workout bench and an ultra-stable core exercise ball. You can lay on it, lean on it, and even lift it--it truly does it all. The package also includes Barry's patented Power Handles, which flex and rotate through each bootcamp exercise to focus the resistance on your entire muscle. The handles work in conjunction with two sets of resistance bands, which let you choose the best resistance level for each exercise.

Finally, the Barry's Bootcamp bundle comes with a 15-day free trial for Barry's exclusive VIP Online Bootcamp, which gives you access to the Don't Think, Just Shrink 30-day transformation guide and calendar, Dr. Gourmet's list of customized meals, recipes, and shopping lists, a FatBurn personal calorie coach, and one-on-one advice from Barry and other fitness and nutrition experts.

Customer Reviews:

  • Barry's Bootcamp Complete Workout
Great product. Just as described. Haven't had any trouble with the "bullet" and my children think it's a bouncer. The workout is quick and efficient. After I've used the product a little longer, I'll update and share my results. ...more info
  • Great workout, POOR customer service
I consciously waited until I had finished the first thirty days to review this product. I mean, how meaningful is a review after owning a product for a few days or a week?

This was a five star review up until about day 26,the day my black resistance band snapped. I wasn't too worried as I knew that I could log onto Amazon and order the four band set and still work with the green band in the interim. This is where my luck, and my review changed.

I ordered the four band set and recieved only the black and the green bands. No big deal. I think I'll just call Optimax Fitness, the marketers of Barry's Bootcamp and they'll ship me out the remaining two bands. How stupid was I?

I have e-mailed and spoke to Optimax customer service several times with the only response being that it was Amazon's problem and I would need to contact them. I ask how can it be an Amazon problem when the order was filled and shipped from your warehouse not an Amazon warehouse (which was later confirmed by Amazon customer service). Today, day 30, the green band also snapped.

Needless to say, I will be returning my partial shipment to Amazon for a full refund. Boy am I glad I bought at Amazon and not the Optimax site.

Bottom line......The workouts are great, but if you have a problem with any of the products, don't expect Optimax to stand behind it.

I have an order in for ripcords resistance bands with lifetime warranty

  • Disappointed in the ball
I purchased this ball 29 days ago and already the rubber ball has a big hole in it. I have no children and nothing sharp ever touched it. The rubber simply separated. I called Barry Bootcamp and was told basically it's a ball what do you expect. Do you want to buy another one? Fat Chance (no pun intended)! I guess for $59, I thought the ball would hold up better. Since it was still under warrantee, they told me to go to Amazon and contact them. We'll see, but I expect I'll now have videos and 2 bands for my money. I do like the workout!!...more info
  • The Best Workout Ever
I have been doing Barry's Bootcamp Workout for a month now. I totally love it!!! It has made a huge difference in my body and the way my clothes fit. I love that there is beginner, intermediate and advanced.
This is a fun workout and I look forward to it every morning. I love the positive attitude and energy! I bought this for my 22 year old daughter and she, too, is enjoying it. It is sooo much better than going to the gym. ...more info
  • Barry's Bootcamp Workout System is Wonderful
I would highly recommend Barry's Bootcamp Workout System to anyone. I have tried many workouts over the years, and this is the first one that I have actually seen results fast. It's fun and I don't dread getting up to do it. I wish I had found it sooner. There are enough workouts to keep me challenged for a long time. The comments from the other positive reviews are right on....more info
  • Transformer different
The transformer ball is smaller than the video and pictures show; it is also smaller than the enclosed instruction manual says it should be. But, being that I am a beginner, it seems to work OK for now.
The DVDs definitely provide a good workout! I am sore!...more info
  • Do Not Like At All
I think the barry's bootcamp is deceiving. The ball is smaller and less sturdy then shown. Too much bouncing around. I wanted more stable workout with the rubberband. I also got charged with hidden charges, the vitamins and the membership dues, from barry's bootcamp that i had to call and get credit for. I waited to long to use the dvd and could not return and get a refund or i would have. Very disappointed. My only hope is that it helps me loose weight and get in shape...more info
  • Fantastic! Strongly recommend!
Great product and fantastic for travel! It is like bringing your whole gym with you. I love this workout!...more info
  • I've tried them all and this is the best!
This is the best workout program I've purchased (and I have a lot of them). The 21 minutes are over before you know it and you're done! It's been about three weeks and I can feel the difference. My husband can see the difference in my backside and stomach already. I'm so motivated to go on because the results are quick. It's not easy but it's doable; you will will sweat and your heartrate will be up there. Like Barry and Cindy tell you--"You can do anything for a minute!" The transformer is nice--better than the round ones--good for strengthening the core. It's what is making the difference in my abdominals. I use the transformer for stretching, too. I did several months of Power 90X but couldn't devote an hour a day to it (a great workout). Barry's Bootcamp is working and it's only 21 minutes. I add the 12-minute workouts several times a week--love the advanced abs. I'm not doing his suggested food plan but doing low-carb instead and getting good results with this. Be patient with yourself and do what you can. You will get stronger and better each time you do it and feel wonderful after the workout. Glad I made the decision to buy it from Amazon.com--worth every penny!! Saved $$ on S&H and it arrived within days. ...more info
  • Barry's Boot Camp
This is an awesome in home exercise program. If you can stick with Barry's program, you're sure to lose weight. After 2 work outs, I was so sore. I've been with a trainer at a gym, and the trainer did not work me this hard. For the price, this is WELL worth it. I've tried several "gimmicks" from TV, this is the sure thing! Amazon shipped very quickly, I am one happy customer. Thank you Barry! A++++++...more info

I've only had this a few days, and I'm pretty impressed. It is "do"able yet great workout. Great mix of strength training and cardio. (I'm not an extreme hard core fitness finatic, but am active and play about 6 hrs. of tennis a week.) For the reviewers who said the transformer is smaller than on the commercial, you need to blow it up to have a circumference of 67". I blew it up and thought it was all the way blown up. Then I measured it and it only had a circumference of about 45". I just kept pumping and was amazed that it could get much larger than I originally thought....more info

YES Y-E-S YES!! I love this workout. Lot's of cardio and strength training and so much fun. I am a mom of 2 and trying to get my body back after 2 back to back pregnancies. After just a couple of workouts with these dvd's I notice a huge difference in my muscles, shape and weight. It's a really hard workout but so SOOOOO worth it. I'm addicted. Great value for money. ...more info
  • Barry's Bootcamp
**A little revision to my prior review...after only three weeks, one of the power bands broke. Now today (a month after purchase) I go to my work-out room to find the transformer (work-out ball) deflated. One of the seams split, so there's no fixing it. I followed the assembly/inflating instructions to the letter. Let's see how the company handles this one. I'll revise my review after they respond to my e-mail about these items. I don't blame Amazon...NEVER had a problem with them. It's the company that manufactures the products.

This is a great work-out product for beginnners, as well as the more advanced work-out warrior. I have really bad knees, but find if I stick to at least some of the alternate moves, I'm okay (every exercise has an alternate move for either the beginner or person who has back/knee, etc. problems). I also like the fact that the main work-out is about 25 minutes (which is great for those days you don't have time for a full-blown hour routine but still want to do something), but each DVD also has six optional 12 minute "Mission Specialist" routines you can add for a longer work-out. ...more info
  • Great at home workout
I bought this because I found it on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I had already purchased 5 day academy used and found those to be a great intense workout. I know these are not 5 day academy but they are a great workout especially in the 28 mintues from warm up to stretch. I have been at this for almost 4 full weeks and can see changes in my body from doing this system. I hope he comes out with more workouts like the 1000 which is a combination of the upper and lower body moves you do but a 100 reps of 10 exercises and you really feel it when you're done. This system is complete and will give you a total body workout and a way to get into shape without going to the gym. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a great workout at home....more info
  • Just had a baby? Great workout!!
I am a mother of 3 whose youngest child is 21 months old. I was 38 years old when I had the last child and it had been difficult losing the weight. I heard about Barry's Bootcamp System and ordered the videos. I have been doing the videos at least 3 times a week for the last 45 days and see my body getting toned and I am losing inches. Great Workout!!!...more info
  • Barry's Boot Camp
I'm a group fitness instructor and an avid runner so I workout a lot!!! I thought this video was just OK. I love the overall concept of 1 minute intervals and I do sweat quite a bit when I do these videos (which is the bottom line), but not all of the exercises are appropraite for the general population. I.E. Tricep dips using the ball - one could really hurt themselves and sprain a wrist doing this move.....and I love athletic conditioning and have been know to do some crazy plyo exercises on mine own. The music is only OK and Barry is annoying. I hate when instructors don't DO what they are teaching. He just walks around and tries to be funny and motivational - which he's really not. The best part of the videos is his blonde side kick that does most of the actual instructing. Overall, for the price, I think there are better DVD workouts available....more info
  • excellent program and equipment
This features the best worout concept I have seen so far. The core "Transformer" really lets you do many more positions for exercising, with and without the exercise band....more info
  • Money well spent
As an intermediate level exerciser (who hates cardio!) looking to lose the last five pounds/get some muscle definition, I have been very pleased with Barry's Bootcamp. I purchased it at Target and found the suggestion to inflate/deflate/re-inflate the Transformer did help increase the size over two days. I've used the program for three weeks now and have lost four pounds and am definitely noticing the beginning of muscle sculpting in my arms and abs. I get bored easily with workout DVD's and so far after hanging with Barry and Cindy for six days a week the last three weeks, I can honestly say the boredom level has not hit yet. There are modifications for all the programs, and I definitely need them at times- this is definitely a challenging workout. Interval training has recently been cited as the most effective method for weight loss and these DVD's use this approach (combination of cardio and sculpting exercises) for one minute intervals each. The lead instructor, Cindy is a good blend of fun and serious, not too perky. Barry is quite perky, but he means well and can actually be motivating when you feel like giving up. A few pointers he gives I find helpful, ex: "Work through the burn, not to the burn", "you can do anything for 60 seconds", etc. The only negative I have is that I workout in a low ceiling basement and a few exercises require jumping or holding the transformer ball over your head, so I have to modify these exercises for height. I have just tried the 6 day "emergency" Code Red DVD (leaving for vacation/bikini bound). It was challenging, but only 15 minutes. Then at the end Barry recommends doing the workout twice a day- yikes! I guess I'd rather do one longer session than fit in two. I might add the Red DVD in addition to the Fatblaster/Mission Specialist plan. After vacation, I plan to use the DVD's to supplement my exercise routine, not to use everyday in isolation. I definitely recommend this program, not a lot of investment, but good, quick pay-off!...more info

  • A little decieving
I was excited to get this in the mail until I opened the box. Everything was in there but the transformer is alot smaller then what is shown in the picture and on the video.
I did the first workout and burned alot of calories but unsure how effective it is because the next day I was not sore. Hopefully it does work. I will see if there are any results in a week or two....more info
  • Good Workout
I bought the DVDs from the website last year & these are one my favorite sets of workout DVDs. I like the concept of 1 minute cardio followed by 1 minute toning exercises to keep your heart rate up. Cindy who also trains in the workouts uses this same concept in her Results Fitness DVD 10 days to a better body. I gave this one a 4 star only because my DVDs no longer are working (maybe I used them too much). Not sure I'm going to buy another set but I did see he has another DVD set out on Amazon so I might try that one next......more info
  • BootCamp Bliss
I bought Barry's BootCamp for about $50 at Sports Authority. I have been doing it for just over 2 weeks and have already lost 7 lbs with minimal change to a relatively healthy diet.

I knew Barry's BootCamp would work, because about a year ago, I bought BeachBody's P90 workout system and lost 25 lbs doing that and playing ice hockey. Unfortunately, I broke my kneecap playing ice hockey and gained the weight back and wasn't able to excercise for a year.

So why not just do P90 again? Even though its effective, it's boring. You do the same move for 2 - 3 minutes, then another move... Then repeat the same two moves. It's a snoze.

With Barry's Boot Camp, the moves last for a minute... That's it... No repeat... No boredom.

The other thing that's pretty impressive about Barry's BootCamp is for $50 or $60 you get everything you need to do the program:

    1. 2 workout DVDs... With one main workout... And then a beginner and advanced workout for ab, upper body and lower body

    2. 2 exercise bands and a great set of adjustable handles...

    3. An extra "Code Red" DVD workout which is suppose to supercharge your weight loss - which I have not even bothered opening yet.

    4. The transformer - it looks dumb and goofy, like an oversized pill, but it works WONDERFULLY! (More on it later)

So you get a lot for your money, and don't have to buy anything else for your workout... Unlike the BeachBody stuff, where you need dumbells, or bands (which were not included when I bought it)

The Transformer - you can use it in a million different ways. It's more practical and useful then a regular swiss ball... Everything you do on that thing becomes a ab/ core exercise.

And about Barry - yes the personality of the people on the tape matters... Tony Horton was cool... Barry and Cindy are better. They are not obnoxious, they are not super-charged or annoying. I like them better than the BeachBody stuff... Tony Horton would talk to himself... Kinda boring. Cindy and Barry kind goof around. I mean it's not Comedy Central funny, but it keeps you engaged.

Another plus... All the workouts are completely scalable. So in other words, after you get good at doing the 21 minute workout... You can make it more challenging by using a different band, strething the band more etc... Instead of say... Shelling out another $100 for P90X, lol ;-)

I really thought the claims on their website were overblown... It seemed like their people were losing a LOT of weight really quickly... Too quick. I should be 10 pounds lighter by the end of 3 weeks... Thanks for a great product.

One complaint - Truth in advertising - When I saw the infomercial, the workouts were supposed to be 21 minutes... The main workout is 21 minutes... However, after week 1 you are expected to start doing one of the additional workouts (abs, upper or lower body), then 2 in week 2 and all three in week three)... You WILL lose weight if you do just the 21 minute workout... But you will lose it slower, obviously.

So yes, Barry's BootCamp gets 5 stars. ...more info
  • worth the trouble!
The only downside to this program is how difficult it is to blow up the transformer properly. Other than that, I have no regrets! It is a great set of workouts!!...more info

Barry's Boot Camp is absolutely AMAZING!! It is the best at-home workout I have ever tried! Not to mention it saves you a lot of time!! I am a graduate student, so I don't have much free time, but these workouts easily fit into my hectic schedule. My arms got toned, and I lost inches off my waist and my thighs in just under 2 months!! I started seeing results in about 2 weeks. To top it all...ITS FUN!!! I RECOMMEND THIS WORKOUT FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS!!! I LOVE IT!!!! ...more info

  • Couldn't believe it....
If you're thinking about getting this workout system, DO IT! If you are going to commit to it and do what they say and do the workout everyday as suggested bottom line is you will see results. I must confess though that i have not followed the eating plan but i have been trying to keep my calorie intake below 1,200 calories per day. I have been doing this workout for about a month now, the scale didn't move much, but i have lost 12.5 inches all around. That may not seem like much but just about everybody i know have noticed and it feels GREAT! Now THIS is what i'm sticking to!...more info
