Customer Reviews:

  • good camera but the anti blur is BS
The reason i bought this camera is because it claimed to have "image stabilization." That is a bunch of bull. The anti-blur mode is even worse then the normal shooting mode. You cannot take pictures without a flash. You cannot take distance pictures without blur. Basically the only thing the camera can do is take up close pictures with a flash. I am returning it and am just going to re-purchase my original cannon i had that was only 7mp but took much much better pictures and videos.......more info
  • Fujifilm Finepix J10 8.2MP Digital Camera
Great camera that easy to use, take gorgeous pictures and is easy on the wallet. It's a little small, so if you have large hands, you may be a bit uncomfortable with it, but otherwise, it's great value for the price....more info
  • good camera for the price
I like the compact size of the camera, and the picture quality is great. There aren't many features on this camera, but the simplicity is actually nice. I am very pleased with this camera for the price I paid....more info
  • Great camera, broke, company won't fix under warranty
I ordered this camera recently and found it to be a wonderful camera. Then the LCD looked like it had a crack in it even though we don't recall it EVER being dropped. Fuji says they won't fix it under warranty. They should have stood behind their product a little better rather than charging me $61 to fix the darn thing....more info
  • Fantastic Camera for the price!
I just bought this camera - and took it out for a spin this last weekend. I live in San Diego - so I went to Shelter Island and Harbor Island & took some fantastic pics! I posted them in the customer images for the camera. Check it out. This camera will allow you to take your own postcards!...more info
  • Great Camera
This is a great little camera and priced just right. I love to take pictures for fun- so i'm no professional here, but I must say, it captures the images perfectly even when my hand isn't perfectly still or if i haven't focused properly. I still get a great picture. A great buy!...more info
  • Small but neat camera
I wasn't expecting this camera to be so small, but its smaller than my own phone. Its neat and pictures are okay for the price of the camera. It only holds THREE pictures without a sim card which I am upset about cause I didnt get a sim card right away. So best to purchase one with it or it would be a waste....more info
  • LCD Display way too dark for outdoors use
All the positive points cited by other reviewers are true. Lightweight, easy to use point and shoot. I found it fine for indoors use. But outside, the LCD display was so dark all I could see was my own reflection. No way I knew what I was shooting. So, regretfully, I am returning what is otherwise a good little camera, and I will stick to my (much heavier) Canon powershot with viewfinder - even without the viewfinder, the display on the Canon shows up better in daylight than does the Fuji....more info
  • great camera!
really a great little camera. especially for the price i don't think you can find a better camera out there....more info
  • Great little camera!
The Fujifilm J10 is a great little camera! It doesn't have a lot of buttons or switches to mess with. The anti jiggle thing works great too!
We are happy we got this camera and think you will be too!...more info
  • Love This Camera
I love this camera....bought it for my mom for Christmas, takes great pictures, the screen is very clear...great snow pictures, which I couldn't get with my camera.....Not to many buttons on it so it is less confusing, but if you scroll through the menu this camera offers a lot. Would definetly recommend this camera....more info
  • The good easily outweighs the bad. Great walkingaround cam.
A lot is wrong with this camera except the image quality which is wonderful.

There is about half as much noise at the same ISO as my Canon point and shoots which is amazing. I wonder if Fuji can't say how good it is because it might be better than their upmarket cameras that are supposed to be low noise. Adequate for some sunsets, that's one of the major reasons I love it. The lens might not have much telephoto but that made it easy to manufacture a very good lens.

Variable shutter to 8 seconds in fireworks mode. Usable night mode with a tripod. ISO 64 to 1600 in "manual".

    Excellent color.

I bought two as my observation is that when a camera this good comes along it is quickly superseded with something worse. This also gave me a spare battery.

To return to shoot mode press the shutter. This is really the best way to do it but they could have programmed both ways instead of the stupid message.

The software didn't do much except stop my card reader from working (Win 2K). At least it uninstalled neatly and now I use the reader.

The menus are in seemingly random order but include useful functions.

The corners are cut off at full wide. Big deal, with 8 megapixels there is plenty to crop out. Typical for little cameras.

The battery seems to run down over a few weeks if left in the camera. Best not to store the camera with the battery installed and carry a spare.

If the LCD screen has a vertical line through it when there is a bright light such as the sun it won't be on the picture, go ahead and shoot....more info
  • Great little camera!
This camera packs a lot in a tiny package. The images are crisp and clear, it's quick and easy to learn the functions (takes 10 minutes or less), and it's as small and lighter than my cell phone. Great for a second camera too.

  • Great camera at great value.
I used the camera on a cruise, and the pictures I took outside on the ship, on the beach, and inside were all very clear and sharp. I took a little getting used to the controls at first, but switching from mode to mode actually turned out to be a very useful control. When traveling, the wall battery charger is very convinient to use b/c it doesn't require an extra power cord to carry like my other camera....more info

  • small and fast, but bad movies and macro
small size and good pic quality make this a decent camera for family use.

    deal Breakers:

MOVIES have terrible sound. constant mechanism noise and audio recording is very quiet. other reviewers had similar problems. also, you cannot adjust zoom while filming; have to stop, zoom, start

MACRO mode is a joke. don't even try to take product photos with this camera! i was spoiled by my old fuji S5500 (lost) which took AMAZING "super macro" shots

    Sweeteners:

Very fast power-on time and good speed between shots (roughly 1.5 seconds)

particularly great "sports" mode. with flash, sports mode cannot capture motion blur no matter how hard you try! a dozen or so other modes such as "baby" "museum" "beach" "fireworks" etc. are kind of fun but haven't seen much actual use.

  • Glad I picked this one
I got this camera to get shots of my 7 month old. I was concerned about getting non-blurry shots since children move suddenly. I've gotten great pictures of him. We went to a parade and there was no blurring of the moving people or floats. We even went to a Medeivel fair and had only slight blurring of joisting. Not bad for two horses moving quickly in opposite directions. The video function was handy. I was able to capture my son's first steps even though I didn't have my video recorder with me because of this function, it even captured the sound. The battery lasts quite well on a single charge and the camera is fairly intuitive in how it functions, I didn't have to read the manual to figure it out. Small enough that I can alway have it with me. Resolution is great, I'm very satisfied with my purchase, it does what I wanted it to do....more info
  • Couldn't ask for more
I got this for my wife to replace her ailing Nikon Coolpix camera she has had for the last 2 years. Not only is it more powerful but the battery lasts a long time and the picture quality is great! She also mentioned that it's much easier to use and the flash doesn't take as long so your pictures are taken faster....more info
  • Easy to use
I bought this camera just before going abroad on a trip and was very please with what I got. It's very simple and easy to use. I was a little disappointed that it doesn't seem to have a video recording feature, but it is a good point and shoot for a good price!...more info
  • Excellent Camera
I'm going on a trip to Europe and needed a new camera. I wanted a simple camera that takes great pictures and has long battery life. My new Fuji is all of this. You can figure out how to work it straight out of the box without needing to look at a manual. All the features are great, the pictures look nice. The battery is easy to charge and lasts quite a while. I would definitely recommend this camera for anyone who needs a high-quality, simple camera. Plus, you can't beat the price. ...more info
  • Good camera at a good price
It's a great starter camera. I got it for my son for christmas and he loves it. It is very easy to use and has a big LCD screen. It takes really good pix too with hardly no delay time. I would recommend this camera for anyone especially young adults who love to take pix. ...more info
  • A Gift Worth Giving
This was a gift for my 13 y/o son on his birthday.
He said he read the instructions, maybe, but it was so easy to use he had mastered each feature in no time.

  • Finepix Camera
Great little camera for the price. Takes beautiful, clear pics, and truly easy to use....more info
  • Very nice little camera
I've been wanting a small, economical point/click camera that takes good pictures with the minimum ammount of blur. That's exactly what I got. Camera is easy to use, very intuitive and has an unusually long battery life (I've been able to use it daily for about 4-5 weeks between charges). The pictures are sharp, I've been able to take beautiful action photos without hand or motion blur. For a basic camera without any frills, bells or whistles I deffinately recommend it. It's small and light enough to keep in my purse on a daily basis.

My one qualm is that the software it came with sucks. It won't work properly on my new computer (and I don't have an old PC to test it on) and crashes when I try to upload photos from the camera. My PC does have a memory slot reader so I've been able to get around the problem without difficulty, but if the software and cabling are key for you, you might want to look into an alternative....more info
  • great pictures...tiny camera easily goes everywhere

  • Simple, friendly, straight forward
We bought this camera for my father, a sixty years old who is far from being tech savvy. After ten minutes of practicing he's taking pictures like a pro (at least, a pro with an amateur camera!). We enjoyed the camera's simplicity, usefulness and big, bright screen so much, we bought one for ourselves. Highly recommended!!...more info
