Product Description

The stainless steel cookware line from celebrity chef Rachael Ray features a full cap base of aluminum that heats quickly and evenly, reducing ???hot spots??? that can burn foods, plus a stylish satin finish stainless steel that is favored for its durability. The stainless steel handles are double riveted to the pan for added safety and accented with grippy silicone that is comfortable to hold. Compatible with all stovetops and oven-safe up to 400-degrees F. This 10-pc. set includes:1.5-qt. Covered Sauce Pan, 3-qt. Covered Sauce Pan, 8-qt. Covered Stockpot, 8-in. French Skillet, 10-in. French Skillet and 3-qt. Covered Saute Pan.

A satiny sheen and touches of color give Rachel Ray's 10-piece stainless-steel cookware set a stylish look that's also functional and durable. Included in the grouping are an 8-quart covered stockpot, 1-1/2- and 3-quart covered saucepans, 8- and 10-inch open skillets, and a 10-inch covered saut¨¦ pan. Stainless steel is a popular all-around cooking material because it heats quickly and evenly, while the aluminum-capped bases add energy efficiency and excellent heat retention. Plus, the metal doesn't react to acidic foods, resists corrosion and scratches, and cleans easily with just a sponge.

The cookware set also features high-arching handles covered in grippy orange silicone that stay cool on the range and are oven-safe to 400 degrees F. Riveted on for strength, they won't warp, bend, or break no matter how heavy the load or how often used. Glass lids also keep the chef informed on what's happening inside the pots without letting heat, nutrients, or flavor escape. A nice starter set that's both versatile and inclusive, this collection is perfect for a new homeowner or as a smartly polished upgrade to a worn, gathered-over-the-years menagerie. It's backed by a lifetime limited warranty. --Kara Karll

Customer Reviews:

  • cute but, POOR POOR QUALITY
POOR, POOR QUALITY!! We bought these pans because we thought they were "cute"... they are a pain!! I did not see when I bought them that they recommend to hand wash. Well, don't buy these thinking there is any chance of them coming clean in a dishwasher. Not a chance. I wash them in the dishwasher (I did't see the recommendation to only hand wash), and I still have to get out baking soda and scrub these things as hard as I can to get them somewhat clean. If anything gets even slightly burnt in them, the stain is there for a long time, I had to boil vinegar in them repeatedly to be able to scrub those types of stains away. Boiling noodles in them leaves marks on the bottom. These are the first stainless pans I've owned, but they seem to be more work than they're worth. Oh yeah, I've seen them leak at the rivets as well! ...more info
  • Exactly What I Wanted
I purchased this set a year ago and haven't regretted it for a day. I love these pots and pans. Actually, I'm writing this review today because as I was cooking dinner, I found myself again thinking about how glad I was that I purchased these.

My main advice to those thinking about purchasing them would be to carefully consider what you are looking for in a cookware set. Think about what is most important to you, and purchase cookware that meets your priorities.

My priorities in purchasing this set were as follows (in this order): 1) Stainless Steel. 2) Glass Lids. 3) At least two pans and three pots. 4) In the mid or low price range as compared to similar sets. If your priorities are similar, I'd highly recommend these!

And one final note: Take careful notice that ease of cleanup was NOT a priority for me - though I will say that transitioning from non-stick to stainless steel was not as painful as I expected with regards to cleanup. A good soak in hot, soapy water and a gentle dish scrubber do wonders with minimal elbow grease.

  • Nice pans, but one already has a leak...
I bought these pans for Christmas and a week after getting them noticed that the smallest pan leaks from the handle. Spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get through to a real person and could not. I do not want to have to pay to ship the pan somewhere for a review, so I guess I'm stuck with it. The rest of the pans seem good so far though....more info
  • LEAKING IN HANDLE
I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT ITEM SEEING THAT RACHEL RAY PUT HER NAME ON IT. I GAVE IT TO MY SISTER AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT. WHENEVER SHE COOKS,THE LIQUID WOULD START LEAKING FROM THE INSIDE RIVET THAT HOLDS THE HANDLE TO THE OUTSIDE WHERE THE HANDLE IS. ALSO, THE INSTRUCTION SAYS THAT HANDWASH ONLY FOR CLEANING. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM. I HAVE THE SET WITH EMERIL'S NAME AND IT'S TEN TIMES BETTER....more info
  • Water sticks
I have had a lot of different pots and pans over the years, but this is hands down the worst set I have ever used. You can't even boil water with out it sticking. Anybody that gives this product anything more than 1 star is just trying to justify the embarrassment of buying this junk. If anyone wants to try these, I will sell my set for half price. ...more info
  • Exceptional Cookware
These pots are very nice to use and a breeze to clean. I got this cookware set for my wife for Christmas 08, they came in perfect shape and are very well consturcted for heavy use. The handles are big enough so that they comfortable in your hands. The rivits used to attach the handles to the pans themselves are very strong. It is also nice to be able to clean these pots in the dish washer, you may want to soak them if something is cooked to the inside of the pans since they don't recommend using any kind of scrubbing pads on the pots. Overall these are excellent pots....more info
  • Great Product
We bought this set over one year ago and it is holding up very well. We bought this set to replace our set from our wedding (14yrs ago). We are hoping these last longer. I am not a master cook, but the pieces cook well and evenly on our gas stove and clean up easily and they can go in the dishwasher which was a bonus for me. We have used all of the pieces that come in the set which is nice so you are not paying for useless things. In our opinion it was worth the money we paid on Amazon. We found them to be more expensive in the stores at the time we made the purchase. We love the glass lids so we can see how things are cooking. ...more info
  • 5 Stars For Rachael Ray
I bought one piece last year just to try it out. Was I ever surprised. Great weight, cool handles and see through lids. Thicker bottoms allow for lower heat when cooking. The lids fit snug and keep the moisture in.
Only one neg., the handle on the small skillet is just a bit too heavy. It seems to tip when empty, if you're not careful.
Clean-up is a breeze. I use a bit of Bar Keepers Friend to keep the the finish looking shiny and new.
Teflon may have it's place, but not in my kitchen. ...more info
  • I love my Rachael Ray cookware!

  • Great cookware, affordable price!
I am SO very glad I decided on these. We shopped for almost a year looking for a replacement for our cheaper stainless set. Given the price for quality cookware, I thought I would never be able to afford a new set. Boy, was I wrong!

I have had these for about 10 months now and have had ABSOLUTELY loved them. They cook evenly and are easy to clean. Every now and then, I have to give them a little scrub with an SOS pad/ steel wool to remove cooked-on grease. They wash quite well in the dishwasher. The silicone handles are still in new condition with no signs of wear. ...more info
