Features:
  • New Activities! The title is a series of minigames designed to give your brain a workout. The 17 new, engaging activities are all designed to help work your brain and increase blood flow to the prefrontal cortex. Whether you're playing simple songs on a piano keyboard or monitoring the photo finish of a footrace, you'll love your new mental workout!
  • Keep training! When you start a new game, you will take a series of tests and get a score that shows how old your brain is. This number is called your Brain Age. With daily training over weeks and months, you can improve your mental acuity and lower your Brain Age. Progress is charted in graph form.
  • Expanded multiplayer! You can keep up to four save files on one game card. Sharing a game allows you to compete in a picture-drawing quiz or a word challenge with family and friends. You can also use DS Download Play to send a demo to friends or compete with up to 16 players in one of four fun modes.

Customer Reviews:

  • Too Many Information Screens
Navigating through the information screens every time you want to play a game (even in quick play mode!!) is monotonous. The Sudoku games are fun and challenging, but can be improved upon by tapping the numbers into the boxes instead of having to write them. Sometimes the software doesn't recognize your writing, which will cause you to lose points....more info
  • Fun!
I have had this game for a few months now and the more and more I play it, I actually like it less, but I still play it almost daily.
I don't like how sometimes before you start playing you have to draw shapes and do acrostics etc. I just want to play and not do any of that stuff.
Unless you get down to a brain age of 20 years or less it's bad. Even if you are at you age, it still acts like you scored an age of 80.
Most of the games are math orientated and once you get used to them are really easy; but the hard versions are impossible!
But even though I have a lot of gripes, I really do love this game and think everyone who has a DS should have one!

  • Good daily training!
Good way to train your brain. Actually use your brain instead of a computer. Simple but must view and process the questions progressively quickly....more info
  • Educational
It's not that fun for kids, but it is a game you would want your kids to play if they have to study math! I normally play the sudoku on the train to kill time. You really see results of how quickly you think after playing this game for awhile. This game gives IQ testes, and like I said earlier, has Sudoku. ...more info
  • Brain Age
This is a fun way to see if you can "improve" the age of your brain, but there really isn't a lot to it. I was hoping for more games and more levels. It is a bit disappointing. ...more info
  • I am addicted to this game!
No matter how much we play this game as a family, my son, 14, daughter, 8 & I are addicted to the Brain age 2 game for the Nintendo DS. We love to challenge each other to see who can do each type of brain game faster & with the most accuracy. I also love the game, as it also has Sudoku built right into the game! What a bonus. ...more info
  • Brain Food
This game consists of a daily brain age test, daily brain training and sudoku. I play it almost every day for approx 15 minutes per day. I'm able to take my brain age test and train in that time. After you complete your brain age test and brain training you receive a stamp for that day on your calendar. My brain age was very low at first until I got the hang of it.
The brain training games include numbers and words training. It scores you by your speed and number of items correct. This game is fun right now, I can see it growing tiresome after a few months. I'm sure they will come out with a brain age 4, 5, etc to keep things fresh. I recommend this game, worth the money....more info
  • Hard But Fun
This was requested by my wife. She is having a great time with the challenge. Her only complaint was that the time required to figure out exactly how she was supposed to write down her answers counted in her first score. But, since that first effort, she's been having a blast, so she still wanted to give 5 Stars. Anyone can "wipe the slate clean" and "start over," but in the long run "who cares," since it is "all about the challenges."...more info
  • SCISSORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAARGH!!!!!
Ok, both Brain Age games are great. I received them as gifts recently and I am enjoying them a lot. The sudoku is great and it has actually sparked my interest in those puzzles. I recommend this title, but my only beef with it is that the voice recognition leaves a little to be desired. There is a rock paper scissors game that requires you to speak into the microphone on the DS, and for some reason, it has extreme difficulty recognizing the word "scissors" Everytime I have this daily training exercise it causes my brain age to decrease dramatically, not because I have trouble with the exercise, but because it ends up taking the game 10 minutes to understand that I am saying "SCISSORS". Because of this, it has determined that my brain is 80-90 years old.

Fun overall, but ...SCISSORS! SCISSORS!!! SCISSORRRRRRRRSSSSS!!!!!...more info
  • Sandy's review
I am finding this program challenging and interesting. I particularly like the piano challenges. I have found the instructions inadequate for many of the exercises. Only through trial and error have I figured them out. As a result my initial score was quite low because of the many mistakes I made learing how to work the program. Also, the levels are only normal and hard. I'd like to have an in-between level. It's quite a jump from normal to hard. ...more info
  • SAVE YOUR MONEY - DON'T BUY
I was bored of this game just one week after I got it. You have to read the instructions of the game each time you play, there is no way to skip them. I thought I would have lots and lots of different games to play, but on the contrary you only have about 10 games. Each game lasts no more than 30 or 60 seconds, and you only get to play them once each day if you want to save your score (you can keep playing but it won't save your score). Now I get the slogan: MORE TRAINING, IN MINUTES A DAY (literally, you won't get more than 10 minutes of gaming per day)

Also, I bought the Brain Age 2 because I am a sudoku fan. Huge Mistake. It has three levels of difficulty, all are pretty easy, also each level has no more than 20 different sudokus to play, so you will finish all sudokus in no time. ...more info
  • Brain Age 1
I'm glad I got this game when I did. Apparently I need to really work at exercising my brain before it is too late....more info
  • Brain Age 2
A great continuation to the Brain Age series of games. This is my favorite with a little bit more entertaining and challenging games. The play is easy, sometimes the pen does not pickup what I write correctly, but a very minor problems which hasn't overly affected my scores....more info
  • Good for your brain
in the past week or so since I got this game, my brain age age has dropped 30 points! Closer to my real age! Fun and makes you feel like you are doing something good for your head too!...more info
  • Not as good as it appears to be, but good enough.
This game is a good time killer, but not a whole lot of fun, if you play it by yourself is boring, but If you have someone else do it you can get competative about getting a higher score.
all and all it's a good product....more info
  • Educational Game from Ninentdo
It's the best educational game from Nintendo stimulating your brain for everyone (adults and kids)....more info
  • Some changes from the first BrainAge
There are new puzzle challenges and some set up changes from the first BrainAge game. I think both of these games are well-made and well thought out....more info
  • Hubby Cant Put it Down!
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He had Brain Age 1 and had trouble with the "Color Naming" because he is color blind, but he LOVED the Sudoku. Brain Age 2 has more Sudoku and alot better training games. He cant put it down. It drives me nuts!!! ;)...more info
  • Great Learning for teachers too
I am a student teacher. I have had the ...fun of teaching math to middle school students. This program allowed me to improve and so it can help you and yours too....more info
  • Dear daughter loves it!
I purchased this game originally for myself. Dear daughter however uses it much more often than I do and loves it. Chastises me for not using the game more often. We will definately be looking for the newer version of this game. Any game that exercises a 10 year old brain and makes them want to use it more and more, is wonderful in my book....more info
  • Great brain tune up
This is a good way to keep your brain cognitive functions tuned up. Does however get frustrating at times with entry times being too short if a sign for instance in math is read wrong. That would be my only change, give more time to assess if sign was read by computer incorrectly to enable the ability to change it. ...more info
  • My first DS game
My sister gave this game to me along with a DS platform for Christmas and I have been hooked ever since. The daily training if super fun and I like the whole stamp reward system, where with increasing amount of stamps collected, more training modes are unlocked. The only complaint I have about this is that there are too few training modes! Also, I agree with a previous reviewer that there can be a little too much of Dr. K giving repetitive advice and tips, which can become inane after a while.

Otherwise, this game is super enjoyable and keeps my brain alert, even if only for 5 minutes a day. And, since I'm also a Sudoku addict, this is perfect for me. Again, the only complaint about this aspect is that I'm coming close to solving all the Sudoku puzzles; so I'm quickly running out of Sudoku to play!...more info
  • Hard
Ummm Why am I hurting myself trying to play a game. For me this was very complicated. I don't want to think when I don't have to! Not what I thought it would be....more info
  • Love it!
I really get into this one. The more you play the more extras it opens up. Very stimulating. My 11 year old likes to play this before going to school, she says it makes her feel more alert and awake at school. I feel the same....more info
  • My brain hurts from thinking. /(>_<)\
I loved the first Brain Age but Brain Age2 got a wee bit harder in the types of exams they test you with. I get stuck on some of them and take awhile to think up the answer. I LOVE the Piano one where you press the piano keys according to the chart on the side. It's addicting like the last one and it'll keep your mind thinking. If your a Work-Out buff dont forget to grab yourself a DS cuz there's a part of your Body that is important to give a workout to and that your Brain. Brain Age and Brain Age2 can definitely help you train your brain. :D ...more info
  • Great game
I purchased this when I ordered the new DSi. I have Brain Academy for Wii and was looking for something different. I'm still opening new training games but overall a very good game. I like Suduko which this has too.
The only negative is that you can only take the brain age check once a day....more info
  • True Brain Challenge
This is a great game. My daughter does the daily challenge and loves the games. It is truly a brain challenge, something we all could use once in a while.

  • Wish it was more fun.
First off and most importantly, I don't think you should bother buying this game.

Just rent it and see if you like it like I did first. It's OK but it gets boring kinda fast.

There are various games to play but only some of them are fun. I have yet to unlock all of the games but I must say that the "Piano Player" mini game is by far the worst. It doesn't feel intuitive and I was actually looking forward to it.

"Rock Paper Scissors" is fun though once you get the hang of it. But it drags out too long.

One of my favorites is "Memory Sprint" which basically has you following one of the men as he is in a race. Many men will pass him and you have to see what place he finishes in. He will be passed first and then he will gain speed and fall back again over and over until he hits the finish line. I could play that game for a while.

But really, don't waste your [...] bucks on this.

    3.2 stars....more info
  • From 65 to 30!!
BRAIN AGE 2 IS THE BEST!! My daughter, me, and her friend love this game. The random activities [e.g. acrostics] are neat. Only downside=the single-card download play lets you play only a few games. And I wish it had the option of Multi-card. Overall, GREAT!...more info
  • This game is great!
I originally bought this for the kids, but find myself playing too! This is a wonderful alternative to other games, I don't mind if the kids spend more time with this game than I do with the other games. I would recommend this game to everyone!!!...more info
