Product Description

OV-Watch is a clinically proven, patented fertility predictor that is cleared by the FDA. It is a wrist-mounted, bio-sensing medical device that tracks a woman's individual body chemistry to find the 4 crucial days before ovulation-her most fertile days of the month. OV-Watch has a special processor and biosensor that takes readings from your skin every 30 minutes while you sleep. This advanced technology works differently from other ovulation prediction devices in that it tracks chloride ion levels as opposed to LH or estrogen surges. It allows you to be able to fully utilize all 6 days of fertility- the four most crucial fertile days of a woman's cycle before ovulation and the time during ovulation. With OV-Watch, there are no messy, urine strips and no complicated charts. Just wear the watch at night while you sleep knowing that you will be alerted 4 days before ovulation, giving you plenty of time to plan mutiple romantic interludes if desired. If women use a LH urine kit that only detects hours before ovulation, they may miss their most fertile time since by the time ovulation occurs, the egg, which only has a life span of approximately 12-17 hours, is already beginning to die. Sandra Ann Carson, President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine states, "Although LH peaks accurately detect ovulation, they do not identify the pre-ovulatory fertile period. Up to two thirds of pregnancies are conceived at or prior to ovulation." Nothing can provide you with your entire fertility window like OV-Watch. The Starter Kit comes with the OV-Watch wrist computer, English language Reference Manual and Quick Start Guide, Plastic storage case and 1-3-month supply of sensors. One sensor will last one full cycle. OV-Watch has a 30 day money back guarantee (any reason) and a full 6 month warranty. OV-Watch is there for its customers. OV-Watch's Customer Care line is 1.866.OVWATCH for service or free medical education through our customer newsletter.

  • OV watch works
I was very skeptical about purchasing the OV watch due to the price but after 7 months of trying to conceive we decided to give it a try. The watch was awesome! After one month of using the watch I got a positive pregnancy test. Baby is due June 5th....more info
  • Disappointment
I have to edit my previous review, and I wish I could change 3 stsrs I've given it previously to 2 stars or less...

First time I tried it the sensor dried up on day 3 of my cycle. I called support and customer care supervisor from OV watch kept me on e-mail for a couple of days suggesting I dip it into water etc... Then, after 2 days she said to put in another sensor which I did not have and I told her I didn't. Then she said that if I mentioned it to her before she would have sent a replacement one overnight. Would have, should have, could have... So I asked "what's wrong with sending it now?" After all the watch can last without getting data for 3 days. But the lady was not very helpful and did not send a replacement. So I had to call again and another lady (I think her name was Val) was very helpful and quickly shipped me another sensor to replace the broken one. Unfortunatelly it was too late and I had to wait till another cycle. Next cycle the watch was working fine untill like day 8. After that before putting it on I had to soak it in water for 10-15 minutes.

Second time the watched showed ovulation reading for me but in reality I was not even close to ovulating. Aparently the watch only works when you have super regular cycles, but in that case who needs the watch? I got a feeling the watch calculates your ovulation date by subtracting 14 days from the cycle length you yourself enter when starting the cycle. Crap. My advice is to invest into buying OPK in bulks and measuring BBT - cheaper and more reliable. ...more info
  • Best Fertility Product Ever
I first purchased OV Watch in December of 2005. My husband and I had been trying for almost 1.5 years to get pregnant. I tried every single thing you could imagine: fertility diets, herbs, vitamins, aspirin, cough syrup, fertile lubricants, acupuncture, tonics, etc. I saw a fertility specialist who said we had unexplained infertility. I bought the watch. Simultaneously, we decided to agree to the fertility treatments: Clomid and IUI. The first cycle, we followed the doctor's rules. OV Watch was a perfect match for my trigger shot and fertile period. 2nd cycle, I decided to continue to follow OV Watch's instructions to remain sexually active the WHOLE fertile window. We got pregnant. My daughter is now 2. January of this year (2008) we decided to try again. For two cycles, we "sorta" tried. We just did it without protection when we felt like it. Cycle 3, we pulled out the watch. I got pregnant again my next cycle, cycle 4. Each time, I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle trying to conceive. At first I was concerned about the cost of the watch, but after everything else I had spent on trying to get pregnant, the watch really was nothing. I really hope it works for you, as it did for us. We truly felt it was a miracle!!...more info
  • Ov Watch Success
I am a true believer in this watch. It absolutely works 100%. I tried for many years of fertility treatment in my 30's and no success. When I was 43 I read about it in magazine and purchased and 3 mos later SUCCESS. I have and will recommend this watch to anyone I know trying to conceive........more info
  • terrible product
I was really hopeful about this product. I knew it had mixed reviews, but my cycle is very regular and ovulation is pretty consistent, so I thought it would work. However, the screen was very dim from the moment I opened it, and the watch was not comfortable to wear. I went through a sensor within 10 days, and now the next one is drying up. I have followed all the directions accurately, including its storage, and it seems that the battery is dying. Ridiculous, after 10 days! I am grateful for Amazon's return policy, and when I get my money back, I will purchase something better....more info
  • Best Fertility Predictor!!!
My husband and I were TTC for 9 months before I purchased the OV watch. We were both apprehensive about the purchase, especially after reading all of the reviews about the sensor drying up and other issues people had with it. I did not have problems with the sensor (or any other problems), and I conceived the very first month using it! We were shocked it happened that quickly after trying for so long. I also used PreSeed, which I think helped the outcome out too. I would recommend this watch to anyone trying to conceive, it exceeded our expectations and was VERY easy to use! Well worth the money. ...more info
  • OV Watch review
My husband and I were trying to get pregnant with our second child for exactly two years. We tried herbal supplements for each of us. Because my periods were somewhat irregular we were using ovulation predictor kits that I bought in bulk online. Still no luck. We then decided to go to a fertility center for more help. We found that my husband's Type II diabetes had taken a toll on the quality/quantity of his sperm count. I began taking Clomid and giving myself injections to help the production of eggs. For three months we tried artificial insemination and still nothing happened. Based on information from our doctors, we understood that in vitro fertilization was our best hope of getting pregnant. Because neither of our insurance plans covers this procedure, we decided to take the summer off and try again on our own. One day while reading a magazine I came across an ad for the OV Watch. I had never heard of it but went online to research the product a little. After discussing it with my husband, we felt there was no harm in trying it and we had nothing to lose. Even though I didn't really think the watch would work, (nothing else had) I made sure to follow the directions specifically. Nothing happened the first month and I was sure this would be like everything else we had tried. The second month though to our absolute amazement we became pregnant. I had given up on the hopes that this would happen for us without lots of tests, procedures and the huge expense. We are now five months pregnant with our second daughter and are ecstatic. I couldn't be happier with the OV Watch and our outcome. I highly recommend this product. It is easy to use and no one has to know you are wearing it. You can just wear it at night time. We had so many months of frustration, aggravation and heart ache. Thanks to OV Watch we will be a family of four in March. ...more info
  • OV watch worked for me the first time!! Ask me if you have any questions!
Please think positivly when investing in the OV watch. It really works, it works so well that it worked the first month for us. I will start off by telling you a little bit about me. I am a married 26 yr old female with a healthy upbringing but was diagnosed as "infertile" after 12 months of trying to conceive. I had many blood tests done, and finally a vaginal ultrasound detected that I had something called PCOS. (poly-cystic ovarion syndrome) poly meaning "many" cysts on my ovaries so that was our problem. Both my husband and I are very active people and are otherwise healthy so I really thought nothing was wrong until the ultrasound. I was put on clomid 100 mg and took that cycle days 4-8 and had to go in for an ultrasound on cd 13. My Dr. told me that on one side I still had many cysts and on the other I had one sort of good one but that it was "too small" meaning a 12-13 mm follicle when she wanted it to be around 18-22 mm. Well not all women ovulate on the same day and I had done much research on the internet and I read that the follicles can grow 1-2 mm a day. Basically I started wearing my watch on cd 1 and finally got a reading of Feritle Day 1 cd Cycle Day 15. I was also taking my temperature in the morning and charting, this was all adding up!! So we did the deed starting on Fertile Day 2 and then every other day until the watch read ovulation day which we did on that day as well just to be "safe." I had one OPK left so I decided to pee on the stick and sure enough the first time I HAD EVER HAD A POSITIVE!!! This was all adding up!! Well 7 DPO I noticed heavy cramping for about 4 days straight and I knew something was right so I decided to run to Target to pick up a test and sure enough it was positive right away!! I couldnt believe it!! I had taken literally hundreds of tests in the year before so I was so happy when this one turned up positive. THIS WATCH WORKS!!! I am living proof! I am telling everyone I know about this watch as well. If you ever have questions about this feel free to email me personally at [...]. That is how positive I am about this watch. It worked for me so I think it will work for you!!...more info
  • Awesome
We got this after our Clearblue easy monitor once again failed. We used it for over a year without results. At the end the machine started malfunctioning. When I'd turn off the m button it'd reset its self to day 1 or another day like 62 or something. I called customer service and was put through a menu to choose what product I had a question about. I took that to mean their operators knew about the product they were giving advice on. The operator that helped me not once but twice didn't know much about the product or how to help me. After paying $162 for the machine and $250 for the sticks for a total of $412, I had nothing to show for it.
I through the machine in the garbage where it belongs.

I happened to be reading a magazine one day and they were talking about the watch. I figured what do I have to lose? I ordered the 3 month package. The watch band was small so I had to order a bigger one. It came quickly and the operators were beyond nice. Whats more they know about the watch and all of them have used the watch to get pregnant.I did have a few problems starting on day 9 where the watch said my skin was too dry. I had showered and used soap on my arms a short time before putting the watch on. I changed my shower time and when the watch said my skin was too dry I'd wear it for a few more minutes before testing again to allow the moisture to build up. Worked every time. While I didn't get pregnant the first month It worked the next. I am beyond excited to say that we are expecting a baby!

The watch maybe a pain at times but without it I feel confident in saying I wouldn't be pregnant now if it wasn't for this watch....more info
  • It works!!!
Well, I promised to write a review if I got pregnant, so here we go - after 10 years of trying to have a baby on and off, and using the watch for about 4 months, we finally got pregnant!! I would love to say that the watch is wonderful but it would not be completely true, while it is great and perfect for those who are not very good in keeping track of days and temperature, it has a few issues.

I didn't have the problem with the low battery or dim screen as many experienced - but I had an excessive build-up of salt and the sensor had to be constantly cleaned, otherwise it would not read. There was one month of which the watch failed to read after a few days, and I didn't have an extra sensor handy, it was a waste of a cycle and sensor. The watch was very bulky to wear and I had to adjust it all the time on my wrist - it will take you awhile to find a good position. The sensors are pricy but it is good to have a few extra ones - just in case, one of them malfunctions, and you will certainly not want to wait another month.

Although it is not perfect, it does the job, at least it did for me - as my next step would have been fertility clinic appointments. I would just say that you need to take the good with the bad - don't expect a perfect product as you will not get it but it is very helpful if you are trying to conceive.

    Good luck!

  • DO NOT BUY
I am disappointed in the Ovwatch. I purchased it after reading the other mixed reviews about the product. So I knew not to expect a pregnancy, but I was still hopeful.

The issues I had were the following:

    1) The first sensor dried out ? through my cycle. I followed the directions, but never could really get it to work properly after then. I did get an ovulation notice, but I don't for sure know that it was accurate. I normally can feel when I am ovulating and I didn't have that feeling when the watch said I was ovulating.
    2) The second sensor didn't dry, but it was often that I would have to test and retest to make sure a connection was made. I had to wear the watch rather tight to get an OK connection notice, which cause me to wake up w/ a swollen hand. The watch shortened my cycle time from the first cycle, and again I was unsure if the ovulation notice was accurate.
    3) The third sensor was much like the second. I had to test all the time, I got another swollen hand, my cycle time was shortened again, and I didn't feel like I was ovulating when the watch said I was. Not to mention that the watch was not comfortable to wear.

You must be wondering why I kept trying w/ the watch, well because I bought a 3-month pack, but I will not buy another and recommend you don't either.
