Customer Reviews:

  • A good product while it lasted
This is a good product and kept the notebook cool while in use. it props up the notebook and it was easy to type while on an angle. But the little wire broke off after four months of use. I sent it back to Antec they replaced it with a different model.

I think the device is designed for a laptop that has its USB port on the left side of the computer. If you are able to plug it into the left side of your laptop it doesn't create as much stress on the cord. My USB ports are on the right side and this caused stress on the cord, which is why it broke....more info
  • Small but works great
This product is small and awkward but it works great if I use my broken notebook cooler as a base for it! It's not really made for using your laptop on your lap but rather on a table...more info
  • performs well, loud on highest setting
Performs well, tips the laptop up at an angle which personally I prefer for typing. The fan works very well; though I don't monitor my temperatures the air blowing out of the vent on my Asus laptop hasn't been hot since sticking the fan underneath. According to my boyfriend (built his own gaming machine of death PC), this was the best fan for my laptop, providing the most cooling and ventilation, which would in turn lengthen the laptop's lifespan and improve performance....more info
  • Nice little cooler
The low fan setting is nice and quiet, and the high setting is only necessary if you're doing something like 3D gaming. It's not exactly tiny, but it's more portable than other cooling pads.

Both fans turn clockwise, so the air is blown down and left under the laptop. This means that if you're right-handed and using an external mouse, you won't have air blowing on your hand, but if you're left-handed, you will.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the USB connection has the power cord coming off it at a right angle so the second USB port can be on the end. If you have another port right next to it that you want to use, the cord can get in the way a bit. When it's plugged into the left USB port on my Macbook Pro, it bumps into the power cable, but if I bend the cord down, I can still use both. ...more info
  • Not the best but it works
This cooler tilts the back of the computer up and then has fans which blow hot air out from underneath the computer. It works pretty well except that our computer has a hotspot on the front left corner and this area remains warm though not as hot as before....more info
  • Would definitely recommend this product
This being a portable cooler, i had my apprehensions about its reliability. But after using the product, i can say for sure that its a fine product. The best feature are the quiet fans and speed control. The build quality too is good and would definitely be reliable.
With the cooler used, the bottom of the notebook and the air from the vents felt cool. Without the cooler, i could feel the warmth and warm air exiting the vents from the sides. Definitely serves its purpose.

  • Great product, wonderful design
Pros: Quiet, USB pass-through, Strong, Price, Performance, Size.

Cons: Annoying blue LED (not really a big deal, I just needed at least one con)

Great product, seems to be strong and durable. For price, I would definitely recommend....more info

  • Third cooler I tried - this one's a keeper!
I tried the full size Antec cooler, but didn't like that it sat so close to the laptop. Then I tried the Thermaltake I-xoft Fanless Notebook Cooler, and it works for a little while, but my laptop just got too hot from being on all day. So I tried this one, and I am very pleased with it. I like that it sits at an angle, both for ventilation purposes and ease of typing. It also makes my laptop bottom much cooler to the touch. It also has a convenient pass through usb port, which was crucial for me. Love it. ...more info
  • BEST PORTABLE LAPTOP COOLER OUT THERE
Pros: Light, portable, hi and low settings, excellent cooling, USB port for other cables.

Cons: Weird cabling on the USB port interferes with other cables hooked to the laptop.

For those laptops that get infamously hot (esp. Apple's Powerbook G4s and the MacBook and MacBook Pros) really need this cooler. I've had other cooling pads, but with 2 big fans, this really does the job. Plus you can carry it with you in your computer bag without the extra weight (unlike those "full-size" pads). I have 2 of these so of course, I highly recommend them....more info
  • Does the job!
I bought this cooler because my laptop runs so hot it shuts down after a couple of hours. It has completely eliminated my overheating problem. The unit is quieter than the fan in my computer, even on high.
Some laptops may have a problem with the way the cord comes out of the usb plug. It comes out at a 90 degree angle so if you have to plug something right next to it, you may have to go a different route.
I highly recommend this cooler....more info
