Customer Reviews:

  • OK for XP, garbage for Vista
The title says it all. I am not sure who to blame: MS or Logitech but after killing 2 days of constant install/ uninstall, I've finally given up on this product. ...more info
  • Ok Keyboard, Awsome Mouse
I upgraded from a microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse because the range was horrible, and i use my pc as a htpc from the couch. This logitech is much better for range, but not as good as older logitech keyboards, the range is only about 10-15 feet for good reception. The keyboard is sensitive, which takes awhile to get used to. Once you get used to it though, it seems nicer to me. An issue arises when I'm going back and forth every day from my work keyboard to my home keyboard.

Media buttons on the top are small, and it can be hard to hit the right one, let alone hit them at all. I find the layout of the media/shortcut keys on the keyboard somewhat inconvienent. Over all the Keyboard is ok.

The mouse is wonderful and I love everything about it....more info
  • Stupid Kitty Cats
Okay, this keyboard/mouse combo has treated me very well for the past 2 years or so until my 2 kitties decided they wanted my coffee that I had prepared for work. I took all the keys off, cleaned them as well as the base. Well now the left arrow key will not stop moving my cursor every 2 seconds, so now the keyboard is basically useless.

Great set though, just be careful of spills. Although, will probably move up to the 5500 now since it seems so nice....more info
  • Bob's Review of Logitech MX3200 Cordless Desktop
The only issue I have with this desktop is that it appeared it was a single thumb connection, when in actuality it has a 'wired' receiver/transmitter as well and it's just somewhat smaller than average. I was disappointed at that....more info
  • Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3200 Laser review
I bought this product because of the look and functionality. I have used it for several weeks and found nothing I don't like about it. It is quiet, sturdy and the LED for the time and date is, even to my old eyes, readable and well lighted, at least in the day time when I'm usually using it. The keyboard took a little getting used to because the keys seem a little higher on the board than my old one but that's because it is a smaller keyboard. I use it sitting on my lap and have gotten used to the size and actually prefer it to the old, larger one. The functions are useful and, at least to me, easy to use. The mouse is not too big and fits the hand comfortably. I changed some of the functions that were programmed in and now it works the way I want it to. So far the batteries show up as "good" and I've used them pretty extensively. I would recommend this to my friends and would purchase it again for myself....more info

  • Wireless Keyboard & Mouse
I purchased this 3 fortnights hence. Very light, user friendly, works great, and looks sheek. The office sk anks respond very well to it. They flock to it like the salmon to the Capistron. And, the pant ies come off, very nicely. Why, my best friend Raul purchased this last month and now he tells me he's starting to chafe on his peter. And, when you got some chick who, unbeknownst to you, is having a not so fresh day, why you can use the mouse as a but plug to eliminate any unsavory odors. I tell you I could never part with my wireless Logitech! 3 fortnights later, I still got wood......more info

  • pretty good keyboard
I really like the keyboard. It is not squishy/creaky like Microsoft brand keyboards. It produces a satisfying, if understated click on each keystroke. The sound/feel is not as crisp as lapton keyboards, but close enough for my liking.

As for the mouse... meh. It is better than the cheapest of cat-food, but I already own an MX Revolution (fantastic for productivity and web-based applications) and I use my MX 518 for gaming. So, after a little bit of messing around, I took the batteries out of the mouse that accompanied this keyboard (but it keeps the other two company on my desk).

By the way, if you are looking to combine this keyboard with a more advanced mouse, you WILL need both USB receivers. Lame....more info
  • GREAT Keyboard
This product met my needs exactly. My new computer is a TouchSmart so doesn't really even need a keyboard. However, it came with one that is small and very flat and smooth. Instead, I wanted a keyboard with large keys where each one is easily felt and distinguishable from all the other keys. So, I ordered this Logitech. The wireless part is so neat...makes for much less wire clutter around my work area. Plus, it is very comfortable and so easy to use (feel) that I barely ever use my Touch Screen capability at all! This keyboard works perfectly - and then some - for my needs. I don't regret this purchase at all. In fact, I don't know what I'd do without this particular Logitec keyboard....more info

  • OK BUT I LIKED THE LX700 BETTER
Logitech sent me this MX3200 as a replacement for my LX700 that is still under warranty but no longer available. After 3 1/2 years the keyboard will no longer stay connected to the receiver for more than a few minutes, and nothing they suggested could fix the problem. The MX3200 keyboard and mouse were already pre-connected, so all I had to do was plug in the receiver. There was no need to push the connect buttons on the keyboard or mouse, and I haven't even bothered to install the SetPoint disc. The only complaints I have are that the left-hand scroll bar doesn't work as well as the one on the LX700, and the email button won't open my IncrediMail for some reason - I never had that problem with the LX700. The keyboard is really comfortable and easy to type on - even better than the LX700 keyboard, but I have also purchased a refurbished LX700 on ebay and am waiting for it to arrive. Maybe by the time it gets here, I will decide to keep using the MX3200, but at least I'll have a choice. It says on the box that the mouse has an ON/OFF switch, so I was expecting it to have a separate switch or button on the side somewhere. Since I didn't see one and wasn't sure if the red connect button on the bottom was also the ON/OFF switch, I called Logitech Support and was told that it is not necessary to turn off the mouse as it "goes to sleep" to save the batteries when you are not using it. I guess I won't know if that's true until I see how long the batteries last. Can someone tell me how to turn it off? I would rather have a rechargeable mouse like the one with the LX700 because the original battery pack in it is still good after 3 1/2 years of use. ...more info
  • Not too happy!
Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3200 LaserNot very happy with this keyboard. It just feel right and is hard to type on. Maybe it will just take some time to get the hang of it. I would return it if I could get a full return..........more info
  • Rebate was not honored
First of all, I've had no trouble with the keyboard and mouse. They both work well and look nice.

My problem is that a rebate I mailed in May was not honored. Today, 3 months later, I received an email saying that the item was not purchased within the time frame of the rebate. I have mailed out at least a dozen rebates in the past four or five years, and they have all been processed and redeemed without any trouble. I have heard the horrors of rebates; so I check my submissions at least five times before mailing. I think when the rebate was being processed, someone looked at a ship date or delivery date instead of the buy date.

In the future, I will not take into consideration the rebate when deciding whether I should buy a Logitech product....more info
  • Passable keyboard, poor mouse. Definitely not worth the money
I'm surprised there haven't been complaints about the mouse - it's really awful to use, feels like mousing through mud no matter what settings I've tried. This is with the newest drivers on Windows XP and on my Macbook connected to an external monitor. Gave it a couple days thinking I just wasn't used to it, and finally went back to my 5 year old MX510 with a sticky right mouse button. Much, much nicer to use. I'd even prefer a basic Microsoft mouse over the one in this package. The extra buttons are cumbersome to reach and I've never had a reason to need them anyway. By far the worst mouse I've ever owned.

The keyboard works alright, although text input is lagged and I never find myself using the special buttons -- the zoom bar isn't particularly useful and makes an annoying beeping sound and I don't think I've ever looked at the clock when I needed to know the time. Also, the batteries aren't rechargeable. The included double As have lasted me quite a while....more info
  • Great keyboard, little design flaws
I have used this keyboard and mouse for 3 months so far.

    Keyboard
    Pros:
    - Good design, good features, right feel in the fingers when writing, sturdy, long battery lifetime, LCD function great for checking time when you are playing games ;)

    Cons:
    - Misplace of some functions, like zoom on the left side, under normal operation touching it when working with the keyboard, volume control on top of keyboard, it could be better on the right side, like the S510, easier access to it, top function keys ( volume control, media, etc.) feels a little tight.

    Mouse:
    Pros:
    - Good weight, good sensitivity, great battery lifetime (better that other models), it feels right on your hand.

    Cons:
    - None so far

In general, the combo is good, working great, and you can use rechargeable batteries instead of buying a rechargeable mouse (lot more expensive)

I do recommend this product....more info

  • Logitech MX3200 is a must-have keyboard and mouse
I've tried quite a few wireless keyboards over the years and I'm always disappointed by how finicky they are. This keyboard and mouse are truly the answer if you suffer from corpal tunnel syndrome or just need a keyboard and mouse that maintain a good signal to the computer from more than 6" away. The keys practically massage your fingers. The clock/date at the top of the keyboard is a great feature and there are more function keys and added features than I know how to use. This is worth every penny you'll pay for it--hands down....more info
  • Great keyboard with one flaw
I really like so much about this keyboard/mouse combination: easy setup, good looks, comfortable for typing, quiet keyboard, convenient scroll feature on the left side... BUT there is one flaw, which is why I've now had to buy my THIRD one. Logitech has done a poor job with whatever method they are using to apply the lettering on the keycaps as the slightest bit of moisture or even residual moisture lotion on my fingertaps has ended up wiping out the lettering from the keys. While much of my typing can be done without looking at the keys, it is very cumbersome and ultimately results in mistakes as as many as 20 keys lose their lettering in one session. I even tried buying replacement letters, which were not only expensive--they looked odd and the edges hurt my fingertips--so they need to find a way to seal in the lettering. Otherwise, I've been quite happy with this combination....more info
