Customer Reviews:

  • A real screamer!
Very good delivery. After an attempted break-in, I purchased and attached these units to my doors. I also paid attention to earlier Amazon reviewers of this product and bought a roll of double-side tape instead of using the tape that came with the product. If you haven't made other arrangements to protect your windows and doors, consider these. ...more info

  • Fell Off Window Within A Week
I thought this was a nice, inexpensive window alarm. If someone jimmy opens the windows and slides it up, a pretty loud alarm would sound. Effective enough for what I needed in this application.

The two components stick onto the window with a sticky pad attached to each comonent. I attached these to a plastic double-hung window as well as to a patio door. They stayed attached for less than a week. One falling off in the middle of the night, setting off the alarm. Both units failed. The attached surfaces were quite clean. They should have worked. I

I put these on my brothers windows in a town 175 miles away. Tossed the original display container so I can't return either of the units. Would cost almost as much to send them from Seattle and then onto Amazon. So I am out $11. Cheap is just that, cheap. Don't bother with these....more info
  • Window Alarms
This product, in theory is a wonderful idea. However, the double sided tape fails miserably to hold the two sides of the alarm to the window/door surface. Indoor house temperatures were normal, no severe cold, heat, or humidity. But upon returning home the first day, one alarm had fallen and rung to the point of a dead battery. Within the first week, all four had fallen and were ringing their alarms -some faintly by that time and others at close to full decibal level. Would hot glue or that super tacky stuff the infomercial pushes be the answer?!?...more info
  • Loud and scary
I bought five of these for my new apt and I do recommed these to scare anyone who should get any of my windows or doors open. It makes a loud and scary noise but I do suggest getting a sturder double stick tape and not use the one that came with the alarm. ...more info
  • good product
Good product. Fitted it on our outside shed. Deterent to unwelcomed people. However, it doesn't stick well on all surfaces....more info
  • Review Impossible
Since the seller did not ship the Intermatic SP440B which I ordered but instead substituted an unknown brand look-alike, I am unable to review. I certainly could give a review of the seller, however; but I don't think this language would be accepted.

  • Great Purchase
I bought these for my mother who lives alone for her windows & doors. They were easy to install and I did use velcro to hang them instead of the supplied glue strips due to other reviews stating they fell after a short period of time. I think she feels more secure, they are loud....more info
  • not bad
I purchased this product as a replacement and was disappointed that the alarm fell off the window the very first day. I had to purchase a better double-sided tape and it has been working fine since so expect an extra expense....more info
  • For the price it is good ....but
the item itself is ok...had several returns on it [ bought 6 altogether ]
but was never stalled or given an hassles.

Just get some velcro from your local hardware store instead of using the stick pads provided. It cost about a buck.

What happens is that the stick pads fail, when you're not home, the alarm falls goes off, until batteries wear out rendering item useless.

Would purchase again knowing above....more info
  • Inexpensive alarms
I purchased these alarms to put on some windows in our walkout basement. The alarms are not real loud, but loud enough to be heard upstairs. The dogs definitely heard them and raised a ruckus because they hurt their ears. Easy to install and inexpensive....more info
  • Good Alarm System
Good Alarm System. Needs three tiny little batteries. Does not require to screw on the walls. Simple to install. Have fun.
