    Customer Reviews:

    • Great Product, Get Codes Pulled Free too!
A great product for diagnosing issues at your house. However if you are near an autozone or advance auto parts, stop by and have them pull your codes and clear the check engine light at the store (it's free). I recommend this for a weekend warrior, and stopping by a parts store if you don't want to invest the money to pull codes as needed.

    • The best price.
After much searching and comparing prices, once again Amazon came through with the best price. They even bettered my local brick and mortar shops.

The Equus 3110 ? Just about the nicest for the cost. It is so feature packed, it will carry you into the next phase of OBDII systems. Unlike the latest computer system, that once you buy it, it is outdated as soon as you turn it on....more info
    • Disapointing
Tool is overpriced and doesn't provide the ability to review live data, which allows drivability testing. ...more info
    • Great tool for annoying "Check Engine Light!!"
This scanner works fast and anyone could use it. I've had problems with my gas cap not sealing and then the Check Engine Light comes on. It's saved me hundreds of $$ in scanning fees from dealers and helped me have piece of mind when that idiot light comes on. I carry it in the trunk and have helped others with their problems. By the way I cured my leaking emission fault. "Gas Cap" By lubing the O-Ring on the gas cap with a very small amount of grease.

    • Good, but not great for non US cars
This is a nice product, that sells itself on not needing to look up codes. However, they do not make it very clear, that this feature only works for Ford, GM, Chrysler and Toyota. If you have any other car, do not spend the extra money. Get the less expensive unit, since you will have to go on the web to look up the code definitions anyway....more info
    • Money Saver!
You will learn that half of the codes you get on most vehicles are temporary and/or bogus. This thing will let you see what the code is (and write it down), then you can erase it. If it doesn't come back, you are golden. If you have codes, you cannot get your car inspected!
Most places charge you $50 to $100 to read your codes and erase them, and you have to go to the shop and wait on them. You can do this at home in 2 minutes!...more info
    • works great wish it did real time logging

    • Firmware Upgrade Faulty
[...] I just bought a 3110 today from Midway Auto Supply in Dallas, TX. I installed the software from their cd to my pc, then I did a firmware upgrade using their exact instructions. Well.... When it said Flash complete click ok I did that and now I have a blank screen and three solid led lights. I did find on the CanOBD2 3110 website a FAQ that said it is due to bad batteries. NOT TRUE. I put fresh ones in and ven checked that they were up to specs.[...]...more info
    • Somewhat of a ripoff
When I received this device I was not able to use it at first until I loaded some additional information into it. I would not be so disgusted with this fact had I received the right hook up to download the iformation into my brand new Dell computer. But the connector they sent to download was not compatible with any port on my computer, so I had to go to Staples in order to buy a $30 connector so that it would now plug into a USB port. Now I understand that technology keeps changing which is why you would or might have to dowload new information, but as long as I have using computers, USB ports have been the most available....more info
    • Excellent, easy to use.
I'm no mechanic, but I can find my way around a car, and I like to DIY. Recently, I had a MIL light on my 2002 GMC Envoy, and really did not want to take it to a mechanic I didn't know as they are so untrustworthy. Fortunately, my dad is a master mechanic, but lives two hours away. So, I wanted to troubleshoot this problem and give him all the information I could gather to see if this was something I could handle myself. That's where the Innova came in. Within minutes, I had the diagnostic code and all the freeze frame data emailed to my dad. The problem just ended up being an oxygen sensor. $75 for the sensor, $10 for the socket to remove and install, and $138 for the Innova. And I easily saved a hundred bucks on top of all that doing it myself.

      Strongly recommend the product....more info
