  • Betty Crocker cornbread mix 6.5 ounces
I tried my Cornbread Wedge Pan for the very first time this morning,I happen to have Betty Crocker cornbread & muffin mix 6.5 ounce package. I used a small ice cream scoop to divide the batter equally and baked as directed it turns out perfectly there is just enough batter to fill each of the wedge halfway up a baked up beautifully. don't forget to use nonstick spray or you will deftly have problems....more info
  • Excellent Cornbread Pan
I bought both the Lodge Logic Pre-seasoned muffin Pan and the Wedge shaped pan for making Mexican Corn Bread. I like my cornbread with lots of peppers and my wife don't like the peppers so I make her's in the muffin pan and mine in the wedge pan. The cornbread to comes out of both pans very easy and is golden brown and crispy. We put a butter and honey on ours and eat them with Navy Beans. Makes a great meal....more info
  • Cornbread Cooker
Could be a little bigger. The standard recipies are about half again too big for the pan....more info
  • Love it!
This pan is great for baking scones.....comes out perfect everytime. the only work is having to grease the pan after every use, to maintain the non-stick property. Highly recommended....more info
  • Corn Bread Pan
Don't waste your money. This pan sucks. The corn bread gets stuck and comes out in pieces. I didn't even eat the corn bread. I threw the pan with the corn bread in it in the trash. A Waste of time...more info
  • A Widely Useful Pan for Quick Breads
This segmented cast-iron pan is wonderful, not only for cornbread but equally for any kind of quick bread such as scones, shortcake, and especially for quick breads made with non-traditional flours (whole grain, almond, etc.). The pre-seasoned surface browns each wedge nicely on all sides, and wedges come out easily leaving the pan clean for quick washing. Highly recommended....more info
  • Get a Wedgie
I received this as a gift since I really enjoy cooking with cast iron and love cornbread which I usually make in a cast iron skillet. This is basically a one-use pan, although I guess it could be used for muffins, scones, etc. Like some other reviews, I was not especially thrilled that it holds less than a "standard" recipe. Still haven't developed one that fits the 8 wedges perfectly. If you are into prepackaged mixes like Jiffy, it will fill 5 or 6 of the wedges. Some reviewers have mentioned the cornbread sticking and the hassle of cleanup. I preheat the pan with some butter or Crisco in one wedge, which I brush liberally in all other wedges and edges before putting in the batter. There is always a little sticking, but if you do that and allow it to cool a couple minutes out of the oven, the sticking and cleanup are minimized. One real plus to this wedge pan as compared to making cornbread a skillet or casserole dish is the nice crusty edges on each wedge. While this wouldn't be my highest priority in cast iron cookware, it is a nice and modestly priced specialty addition....more info

  • Wonderful Results
Use PLENTY of cooking spray, butter flavored for obvious reason, and be sure to spray liberally in all spaces, especially the corners, and PERFECT RESULTS EVERYTIME.

Very Little Clean-up if sprayed generously....more info
  • Cornbread-wedge
I'm just a old country girl...
Lodge cast iron in my kind of cookware. However, I don't mind saying
I was a little taken-aback when I received this skillet.
My only concern is it isn't as deep as I thought it would be. (not in description)
Well, I used it ...it's alright. makes "cute" cornbread wedges.
Be sure to oil your skillet well...I can be a duzzie to clean.
I use a plastic brush, this helps
    Enjoy..
