  • Just as hard for adults, as is kids..........
My daughter's had this game for about 2 years - she's 7 and I'm 37 - she can't even come close to beating it, and I've gotten somewhat close to beating it, but some of the upper-levels are just wayyy too hard {yes, even for me, and I play games on my PS2 all the time!} - not to mention, I can handle the repetition of the GAMEPLAY, but having to re-watch some of the same movie parts gets me very quite frustrated - then, there's the "puzzles" - pipes and/or pictures - a few of these are insanely hard, hence another reason why I'll probably never beat this game! It's still {kind of} fun, but I only play it when my daughter asks me to play for her. However, the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. I just wish the game wasn't sooo darn hard....more info
  • Frustrating
This game is rated E for everyone and is targeted for a younger audience. My son is eight and has great difficulty in many areas. My daughter is six and can't play it all. And because you have to go all the way back to the beginning of a level when you quit, we often leave the game paused and turn off the t.v. so we don't have to lose what progress we've made. I don't reccommend this game for younger children. Save it for the older kids....more info
  • Not That Great
My family and I LOVED the movie Finding Nemo, and I *finally* got around buying this game for my son the other day.

Unfortunately, he has had to call me into the room *repeatedly* to help him get through some of the levels. He gets frustrated and visibly upset (surely all that adrenaline isn't good for kids?!) and it was making my heart race, too. Most of the sections (he's on Level 6) involve a race of some sort or going through 2D platforming mazes (think Crash Bandicoot).

Some of the graphics are truly excellent, but not for small children. There are scenes with Bruce the shark chasing and trying to eat Nemo and Dory as you navigate them through minefields and in the sub. The music sounds pretty threatening, too.

Personally, I love PS2 games aimed at kids (e.g. Ice Age 2, Curious George, the Spyro series, etc.), but this game is repetitive and aggravating. Fighting against the current for some of the games makes it difficult and frustrating...which is decidedly unfun....more info
  • Forget all the pitty votes, this game is great!
What's the matter with all of you saying that you "gave this game a five only because the movie is great", this is an AMAZING game...If you liked the movie, you have to like the game, because that's all the game is, the movie.

This game is great because you get to do everything you see in the movie. You get to run away from bruce, and hop on the Mines, it's a great game/movie, I love this game and anyone who loved the movie should love this game too....more info

  • Cute graphics-slow loading
This game was a little disappointing. Slow loading time. Tiring levels, especially chasing Dorey. Wish the game had a little bit more adventure in the levels without the time limits....more info
  • GREAT GAME!!!
I'm 10 and loved this game it's fun and great for 10 and older kids because it's kind of hard. Finding Nemo lovers will love this game! Everyone should buy it!...more info
  • A balanced review
This video game is rather repetitive. Most levels involve merely swimming through rings over and over. However, given this simple game play a younger child will probably find it too difficult or frustrating to play it for long.

You are given plenty of chances to practice a level in the face of failure, so with some patience each level can be finished. It's too bad that the control in this game is a bit off, which is what makes completing the simple repetitive levels harder.

Nemo fans will enjoy the clips from the movie that are integrated into the game. The in-game engine bits however are a bit off and disappointing since they are animated at a lesser level than the Pixar clips....more info

  • What do you do to the Snails?
During training with Gil, Nemo is stuck bouncing endlessly on the snails. What does Nemo have to do to get past this level???

This game is difficult for young gamers....more info

  • Grandkids
I got this game for granddaughter and she has enjoyed it ever since. In fact all of the kids are having the best times ever with a game. I think Grandma did right this time....more info
  • key word = repetitive
This game is just boring. Same repetitive game plan in all levels. I don't beleive this game is for all levels. I also think younger kids will just give up because if you mess up at any point you're forced to go back to the start of the level your playing. So, it's just over and over again. View angles are also lame. You get one view and that's it. Bump into something you aren't allowed to see yet -- well too bad-- it's back to the level's start. Bought this on sale -- wish I hadn't wasted my game bucks....more info
  • snails
Someone asked about the snail thing and I had trouble with this part too but eventually figured it out. Start at the part with just two snails and then work your way over to the other end, but there's only enough time to bounce on each snail one time so move quickly. Hope that helps....more info
  • Not for younger gamers
My mother picked this game up for my 3 year old son for Christmas and it is just too hard for him. He is fairly good with video games such as Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and the whole Spyro series etc. However this game is just too hard for him to master just yet. My 10 year old daughter can play it but struggles with it. Even when I play it I find myself struggling with some of the levels. The controls are a bit difficult until you get adjusted to them and even after playing it for a while I still have trouble getting through some of the rings I need to swin through. It's a challenging game and the graphics are really good but beware of the gaming level of the person you are buying it for....more info
  • Repetative and not for small children
I bought this game about a year ago.I thought the game was allright. It is kind of repative and has lots of puzzles in it.There are several levels where you have to slide blocks around to form a picture.I do not like these puzzles and never have. You do basically the same thing in each level but sometimes it is switched up a bit by changing characters. My four year old daughter likes it(but can only play the first few levels)This game is not for small children but if you like puzzles and mazes then you will probably like this game. Not for everyone but not a terrible game....more info
