Customer Reviews:

  • Amazing Quality for Outstanding Price
This stainless stock pot is outstanding quality. I only paid a fraction of its retail & it is the same high quality as my All Clad set that I paid over $500 for 4 pieces. This item was below $20 but retail for $100. Amazing!...more info
  • Consider buying the 5-piece 'Starter Set'....
04/30/06 update: ....The starter set is priced at $79.99, and includes the 8 qt. stock pot, 3.5 qt. covered pot and 10" open skillet. Needless-to-say, I am very pleased at the quality, low price, and the 'look'. Cuisinart Chef's Classic beats the heck out of whatever other stainless, mid-priced product line is in 2nd place....more info
  • the best
I love these pans. They cook even and they do not have that non-stick garbage. They also clean very easily. The price is not bad at all either...more info
  • I admit most of the attraction was the $34.99 price tag....
After all, what in the world is a bachelor in a small apartment going to cook that warrants a 12-qt. pot??? Perhaps all the money I have saved purchasing this fine Cuisinart 'Chef's Classic' cookware can be used to buy a 6-lb. lobster ($83.89 including shipping from 'Lobsters-Online'). A 6-lb. lobster needs a 12-qt. stockpot to cook it in, (plus a large cinder block on the lid to keep the lobster from climbing out of the pot) doesn't it??

This monster pot is very heavy as well and almost overwhelms my small half-pot rack....more info
  • Best Stockpot ever!
Needing to replace an old stockpot that happened to be nonstick and was starting to look very unappetizing as it was flaking, I bought this pot. This is the best pot ever. I am so very happy that I bought it. Its size is just right, making it very useful in making large quantities of stock without any fear of the precious liquid boiling over, as well as whenever the occasion should arise when lobsters need to be cooked. Its lid also seals unbelievably well, retaining all the moisture/condensation inside of the pot.

This is an excellent pot that conducts heat very well and one which you'll never regret having....more info

  • Every kitchen needs a stockpot
An excellent quality stockpot at a good price. After juggling 3 smaller pots on my stove to make a party size quantity of chili I decided to get a bigger pot that could handle larger quantities. I found this 12 quart pot to be a great size for making double or triple recipes of soup or chili. Some to eat right away and some to freeze for later. Features I like are: it's stainless, the thick bottom, and a lip that allows you to pour without spilling....more info
  • Beautiful pot
Beautiful pot. Cooks very well, very even heating. Cleans easily. Sexy handles. We like this stockpot so much, we immediately ordered the 12 quart Cuisinart to go with it.

Amazon's shipping was, as always, very fast. And for this item it was free....more info

  • Love it!
Thanks to all of you who took the time to write a review on this stockpot. I've been searching for a decent stockpot for some time, and wanted to find one large enough to accomodate doubled or tripled quantities of stocks, soups, chowders and stews. I tend to make large quantities to freeze so I'll always have a healthy meal to take to work for lunch or to unthaw for dinner on nights when I'm too exhausted to cook. So far, I've made doubled batches of corn chowder and chick pea stew, and this Cuisinart stockpot has performed beautifully with absolutely no burning or scorching. The 12-qt. size is just right--I can triple most of my recipes, and I'm able to fit the pot in the back of my fridge when I want to let the soups' flavors come together for a few days before freezing. Cleanup is slightly difficult, but only because the size of the pan makes it a bit awkward to maneuver in the sink. Other than that, the pot is easily restored its original sparkling quality with a little hot, soapy water, and any residual cloudiness on the bottom of the pan can be scrubbed away with a sprinkle of Bon Ami. All in all, I'm very pleased with the pan and am optimistic that I'll be using it for years to come. If you're looking for a stockpot, this one is well worth the $35 investment!...more info
  • Nice pot for the money
I purchased this for my dad as a Christmas gift. Overall I was pleased with the pot, however I had hoped the sidewalls would have been thicker and stiffer. For the price I paid I am satisfied. I would have been dissappointed if I would have paid what was advertised as full price.

  • There's nothing that you can't cook in this pot...
I've used it for boiling all different kids of pasta, making my famous spaghetti sauce with all kinds of special ingredients, blanching read and yellow peppers before freezing or stuffing them, washing big idaho potatoes really well before putting them into the oven...cleaning apples and oranges before putting them in the refrigerator...and the list goes on forever with things I've yet to do...such as washing ears of corn after shucking it.......more info
