Customer Reviews:

  • Perfect for Babies and Toddlers
My 15 month old daughter loves this "magazine" and chooses this before any book for me to read. The sing song poems and rhymes are perfect for the 0-2 age. The continuing story of "Kim and Carrots" keeps my daughter's attention with every issue. You will enjoy connecting the stories from each seasonal issue to your daily life. We look forward to each issue!...more info
  • Helped me potty-train my daughter
I got this subscription for my daughter when she was 6 months old. She loved them. They're small enough to put in the bathroom, so I would put her on the toilet and we'd read every morning after breakfast. The poems are catchy and the illustrations are interesting so I don't mind reading them over and over again. They are a higher quality than most children's magazines, too, which means my daughter doesn't tear them to shreds.

I would give Babybug four stars if they released an issue every month (12 per year rather than 9), or if they brought the price down to under $30....more info
  • Nice
We've been receiving Babybug for two years...beginning with my daughter's first birthday. They are quite enjoyable. The stories do start to get very similar after awhile. But then there is always Ladybug....more info
  • A treasure and a treat
Years ago, my daughter received a subscription to Babybug magazine for her first birthday. It was probably the best gift we ever received! The pages are heavy stock so they don't tear (they are not really board books, but close enough). Essentially, there a number of short books within each magazine. There are also poems and rhymes that are very easy to turn into simple songs. (We've "sung" many of them!). Beautiful pictures too! There are continuing stories with the same characters like Kim and Carrots (a story about a little girl and her stuffed bunny). The makers of this magazine really know kids and families. They celebrate simple things like playing with daddy in the park, tumbling in the grass, making cookies, playing with a big red ball, etc. etc.

On the back of every book/magazine, there are four pictures that are taken from the pages, and my daughter loved this mini "I Spy" game.

Besides all of these wonderful features, you get issues throughout the year! I can't recommend this magazine enough. Beautifully done. We still have the "books", years later. My daughter is now 6 and she won't part with them....more info

  • My 2 year old niece loves this magazine!
I got a subscription for my 2 year old niece to both Babybug and Animal Baby. According to my brother, Babybug is her favorite! Unfortunately, she lives in another town, so I have not been able to see her reaction to her monthly magazine, but I am assured that she loves it!...more info
