In Star Wars: Bounty Hunter you'll learn the story of how Jango Fett was chosen as the template for the Clone Army, while you go on the deadliest bounty hunter missions!
Set in the interval between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, this first-person adventure lets you step into the role of the galaxy's most heavily armed bounty hunter, Jango Fett, as you track a renegade Jedi across the galaxy, collecting information (and bounties) along the way.
In addition to Jango's trademark dual blaster pistols, your armor bristles with gadgets and weaponry: darts, flamethrower, blowtorch, scanner, cable snare, and--of course--a missile-launching jetpack. Use this arsenal to battle hordes of uncooperative guards, fend off rival bounty hunters, scale precipitous skyscrapers, and capture fugitives--dead or alive. The basic controls are surprisingly easy to master, and you've got enough armament at your disposal to fight your way out of almost any situation. Still, some finesse is required: as fun as it is to walk into a room and blast everything in sight (and it is fun--especially when you're the one wearing the jetpack), you may discover when the smoke clears that the guy you just fried was worth twice as much alive. Oh well...
The complex storyline is revealed by extended cutscenes that let you rest your thumbs while Jango follows up the next lead. (Star Wars fans will appreciate the quality and detail of these scenes, as well as the fidelity of the story arc--namely how Jango is chosen as the model for the clone troopers in Episode II.) And anyone familiar with the Lucas Arts suite of games will not be disappointed by the superior graphics, music, sound effects, and fully realized characters and locations. The pace of the game is up to you: methodically seek out the secrets of each level, or ruthlessly blast your way to the big payoff. --Maile Bohlmann

- This game is amazingly fun.
I bought this game just the other day but i played it with my friend before that. He was stuck on the second level of which i helped him get through even though it was my first time playing it.
Bad Quality: The only bad thing about this game is it is a giant maze. You have to look very carefully to find anything.
I recommend watching the the videos to help you know what is going on. The weapons you get in this game start with an I.D scanner(helps you find out if someone has a bounty on them), double blasters, and a whipcord(captures people) but you can also punch. Soon you aquire a jetback, flamethrower, grenades, sniper rifle, and weapons you get that you can only keep for that one level.
Overall: I recommend buying this game....more info
- really fun platformer
I think out of all of the platform games I've played in the last few years, this was my favorite. Sure some of the jumping/flying/falling parts were a gigantic pain in the rectum. But the animation was awesome, the storyline was good, the cutscenes alone are worth the money, and some of the level layouts were imaginative and new.
So far this is my favorite next gen star wars game....more info
- Way to Hard!
This game is pretty fun, but as you get further into the game it starts to get really hard. Sometimes ther are just too many villans. This game is fun, but very very tough to beat....more info
- Quite simply a fun Game
This is one of the few games for ps2 That I'll keep coming back to, just to play an few levels. The story is good, the controls are easy to use, It's not to hard (but certiantly not easy), altogether, It's just a really fun game....more info
- Great Game!
I have to say this is one of the few Star Wars titles that I actually love to play. Although it definately has it's rough spots (like when thousands of enemies are coming from everywhere AND your getting blasted from hidden turrets, lol) but overall I've really enjoyed playing this game!...more info
This game was amazing. It is the best video game for the PS2 I have run into. It is long to solve and very challenging. The storyline kicks butt and it is fast moving....more info
- Great Game
This game is amazing. The More hardcore fan of Star Wars would appericate this. It Does a nice job of connecting this game to the movies and stories that were created. of course you can get your hands on a sniper rifle. This Game makes Jango Fett look like the good guy, so basically if your a darkisde fan this game is especially for you. BUY this and enjoy...more info
- not too horrible...
if youre 12, i assume it isnt.i anticipated some halfway decent or complicated or well thought out game.what i got:cheesy movement and simple gameplay thats better suited to a 9 year old's tastes.altho the movie sequences in between levels are stunning you find yourself thrown back into a simple world with automatic aim, boring enemies and environments and very little to look forward to hunting down bounties etc...skip this....more info
- 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one of the BEST games I've ever played, and the outtakes are so funny! There are a couple of cons though:
1. The levels (especially The Breakout) are so long!
2. In the long levels to be beat, there are a ton of bad guys to take you down and you only get 5 tries before you have to restart the entire level all over again.
That stuff can really get annoying on the longer levels. When you are IDing the bounty's, you are vulnerable. I don't mind though because that just makes it more fun.
It's easy navigating the levels. There are a few levels that can get confusing, but other than that the navigating part is easy. It takes a while to unlock all the levels. Unless you use the cheats. Then it only takes less than a minute. This game is really fun to play and I like watching the little videos that are inbetween,at the beginning, and sometimes during each level. If you liked the bounty hunters or the clones in Star Wars, you should get this game.
- Jango is the Best
You know what never gets old in a game?Going into a room filled with enemies and kiliing them all.Sound fun?The story takes place before Clones and after Menace. You are Jango Fett the most feared Bounty Hunter in the galaxy(of course this is before Boba). You are sent on a mission to capture a deranged, psychotic, sith cult leader.
I like this game because you feel like you are Jango. You can use your duel twin blasters,flamethrower,jet-pack,whipcord,jet-packrocket,and poison darts. The bad things are the story is a bit lame, missions are repedetive,if you kill your bounty you just hosed yourself, and enemies never stop coming. If you like star wars this is a perfect game for you....more info
- Jango is the best charecter!
Jango Fett, the star of bounty hunter is the coolest charecter and you will know this after you try Star Wars Bounty Hunter. You know Boba from episodes 4, 5, and 6, the badass bounty hunter, well this is oldschool Fett. Jango, the father can do pretty much anything with his jetpack, blasters, rockets, and gaunlets. You challenge people from all over the galaxy like Tusken Raiders and Senate Security, all are fun to go after.
These levels are hard but if you're an experienced gamer this game will be awesome, in my eyes it is awesome. If your a Star Wars fan or just someone who likes video games i'd at least try it....more info
- Overall a very good Star Wars gaming experience
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter puts you in the role of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. It is a first-person shooter in the same vein as "Dark Forces", execpt it is told from the viewpoint of a mercenary.
On the plus side, there are many weapons to choose from, including the twist of being able to fly via Jango's jetpack, albeit only for brief moments at a time. He basically has the full arsenal he had in the movie, including (but not limited to) poison darts, flamethrower, jetpack rockets, and other items that he finds in levels along the way. You also have the option of varying how difficult it is to shoot enemies by choosing to either to aim automatically or manually.
The storyline is one most Star Wars fans should enjoy, and the voice acting (including the actor who played Jango reprising his role here) is good.
On the minus side, the is no mid-level save game feature, so you are stuck having to complete a level if you want to make any progress in the game. Also, since you shoot with two guns at the same time, when using auto-aim the camera at times can become confused at what viewpoint to use, which creates a choppy picture. Another negative is the fact the the secondary bounties (optional side missions) are almost impossible. Unless you can find an isolated alien and sneak up on him, finding and marking bounties in the middle of a firefight with a group of other aliens is a cumbersome task.
In a nutshell, if you are a fan of the Star Wars universe and enjoy FPS, and you can find it at a classic price of $20 or less, I recommend picking up this game....more info

- Truly a great game
I'm by no means a huge gamer, but I do have quite a soft spot for Bounty Hunter. The game gives a strong and interesting backstory to Jango Fett while engaging you in enjoyable gameplay. There's something intangible about this game that makes it feel...real. It's not that the graphics are absolutely impeccable, though they're generally quite good - not to mention the mindblowing cutscenes, courtesy of ILM. There's just something about the way the levels are laid out, about the combination of sneaking around and having shootouts with the enemy, about the sound design, about the variety of experiences you have on the different worlds. It's just generally a lot of fun to play.
The controls are quite easy to use, for the most part, though that's not to say the game itself is always easy. Certain areas can become quite difficult to get through, particularly when there are multiple enemies with missile launchers or sniper rifles...or when facing the genuinely scary Bando Gora for the first time.
The only real downside to this game is the lack of any real puzzles. Although you're not shooting all the time, you're almost always either doing that or sneaking around, trying to figure out where to go. In that sense, there's perhaps a little less intellectual stimulation than I'd like. But it's still quite a blast.
Bottom line: if you're a Star Wars fan, you'll have a great time playing this game, and you'll look awesome in the process, too. =P Jango has a propensity for doing that, no matter whether he's flying, blasting away at multiple enemies with both pistols, capturing bounties, flipping through the air in unusual ways, or all of the above at the same time....more info
- Great game!
This game is very entertaining and tells alot about Jangos past. The whole deal is that you are Jango Fett and are going to capture the leader of a cult called the bando gora. In order to like this game you have to like star wars alot. I am a complete star wars freak, so I loved it. The Bando Gora are very stubborn when it comes to killing them. It becomes very hard towards the end, so I suggest if you are not good at video games, do not buy it. You have to fight a jedi at the end, that is the hard part I was talking about. If you know Jango, he has the same weapons as he does in the movies, a flamethrower, a high flying jet pack, and of corse, the double pistols. You fight a wide varity of creatures including: a giant dragon. My favorite weapon was the flamethrower because it had wide kill radius and a one-hit K0 ability. The fire graphics were astounding. If you like star wars and like adventure games, then this is the game for you!...more info
- Jango Fett the bounty hunter
You get to use Jango Fett in this game. It takes place before episode 2 but, after episode 1. The funny thing is that sometimes when you shoot someone they fall and scream. Also it's funny how the guy with the rocket launcher falls over. This game can be hard but, it's fun. Theres like one problem when you fight the krayt dragon in the throne room it doesn't make sense how that thing could knock you over from like 20 feet away. Overall I give it 9.6....more info
- star wars bounty hunter
Star wars bounty hunter starts with you fighting a beast but you don,t have your jet pack because Meeko knocked it off. Then later in the next level he buys it back. But the whole idea about the game is that he's after a deranged jedi with two red lightsabers with a 5 million republic credits reward. Then on the last level you verse her.But he dosn't work alone he also finds another bounty hunter called Zam.He also goes on lots of intrepid adventures.I will tell you a secret about the game if you get stuck be shore you look around everywhere because usually there's a space you can crawl into. ...more info
- The Force is with Bounty Hunter
Ever since the original Star Wars trilogy, fans have wanted a chance to be Boba Fett. In Bounty Hunter, we get the next-best thing as we play as Jango Fett, Boba's father from Episode II. The game offers the opportunity to use all of the famous Fett gadgets, including dual blasters, a whipcord, a rocket pack with built-in missile launcher, a flame thrower, toxic darts, and more. Plus, you get to take on the role of the toughest bounty hunter this side of Kamino.
Bounty Hunter is probably the single greatest Star Wars video game ever made. Bridging the gap between Episodes I and II, it shows us how Jango Fett was selected to be the template for the Republic's clone army. As one of a "select few" invited to hunt the deadly Bando Gora cult, Jango races against a deadly rival to claim an astronomical reward. The game succeeds in turning Jango into a more interesting character than we are presented with in Episode II, and even hints at his motivation for wanting a son. The plot is more original and complex than it might otherwise appear, leading to twists and drama along the way.
Other famous Star Wars characters also make their appearances, including Count Dooku, Darth Sidious, and Jabba the Hutt. The game also features Jango's first encounter with Zam Wessell, and as an additional gift we also get to see how Fett acquires his trademark ship, Slave I. Temuera Morrison and Leeanna Walsman, the actor and actress who played Jango and Zam in the movie, also return to lend their voices, and the voices of Sidious and Dooku are so well done that you wouldn't know they weren't the actors from the movies. The vicious bounty hunter Montross and the dark Jedi Komari Vosa, the two arch-villains of the game, are also detailed and welcome additions to the Star Wars mythos.
Bounty Hunter is challenging, and full of special features that make it even more difficult. For instance, it's one thing to actually survive a level, but it's quite another to survive the level, find the "secret" icon, and collect all the optional bounties along the way. That's right, you can select to search for bounties using Jango's macrobinocular ID scanner. The scanner reads like a "wanted" poster, and tells you whether to bring your bounty in dead or alive. As Jango collects credits, passes levels, and finds secrets, hidden features open up, including an exclusive Dark Horse comic book prequel to the game, hilarious "outtakes," and more. A stat page shows how well Jango is performing, including enemies killed, bounties collected, and how many innocent victims got between Jango and his targets.
Bounty Hunter features huge levels that span a variety of planetoids, including Coruscant, Tatooine, and the asteroid prison of Oovo IV. At the same time, it also offers exceptional graphics and sound, and the detail is truly remarkable. The game looks and feels like Star Wars, and elements such as desert skiffs, a carbon freezing chamber, and certain level soundtracks tie Bounty Hunter to the original trilogy as well as Episodes I and II. Side notes to the movies also include a mention of Rozatta's junk dealing friend from Mos Espa (Watto), and a bounty posted for the Tusken Raider who took out one of Anakin's opponents in the pod race from Episode I. Adversaries include thugs from a variety of species (Aqualish, Rodians, Trandoshans, etc.), and they look and sound like they did in the movies. Having an ID scanner that even differentiates between the various Nikto subspecies is a nice touch for fanatical fans like myself.
Of course, anyone who has seen Attack of the Clones knows that Jango Fett meets his end battling Mace Windu on Geonosis, but, thankfully, playing a "dead man" does nothing to detract from the fun of this game. However, it would be nice to see his son take the spotlight in a sequel. "Bounty Hunter II: The Return of Boba Fett." How about it, Lucas Arts?...more info
- Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
This game takes place in the Star Wars universe. It tells the Story of Jango Fett and why he was the one to be cloned.
It starts out with not much of a story- you are Jango Fett, hunting bounty. Later in the game, the story takes an interesting twist that is great for the Star Wars universe. The story is the best part of the game, bar none.
The graphics are also very good. The cutscenes are very good, and they do Jango Fett extremely well. The in-game graphics are good, but not near spectacular. Still, they do satisfy.
But the actual gameplay is where the game doesn't sucseed. I's fun at first with the jetpack and different gadgets, but it gets very boring after the same movements, same action, same buttons, and so on. It just gets so repetitive, simple, and boring you tend to just look up the story on the internet.
Overall, for big Star Wars fans like myself, it's a must have for the great story. For the people who love this kind of action, it's a buy. For the casual Star Wars fans, I wouldn't buy it....more info
- Bounty Hunter is great fun
This is the type of game I bought a PS2 for! I really enjoyed every aspect of this game and spent countless hours shooting my twin blasters. The graphics are decent (but not stunning) and the worlds convey a real sense of being vast (although in some cases you are still somewhat constrained in where you can go) resulting a good illusion of Jango exploring distant worlds in search of bounties....more info

- Jango Fett Rocks
I bought this game back in 2004 and was amazed at the graphics quality and control sceme. Going through Tattooine,Corusant, and many other star wars planets were amazing. There is a lot of repetivness but seeing what happens next is worth it. I don't know if George Lucas considers this official star wars canon or not but it tells you all about Jango Fett before attack of the clones. The levels are tremendously long and tough in the later missions. They take full avantage of all the aliens and creatures star wars has to offer including tusken raiders ,toydarians, dougs, gammorians, rodians, hutt, nexu, and krayt dragons. I wish they could have added multiplayer where you could play as other star wars bounty hunters or at least after you beat the game (which is very hard by the way) get an alternate Bobo Fett costume. The jetpack only lasts for about a few sceconds and the camera can be tricky at times but besides that this game is great for any star wars fan to add to his or her collection. ...more info

- Mandalorians all!
This game is a great game. The weapons, tracking systems, armor and more are just some of the good things about this game. The storyline is ausome and the characters superior. My two favorite guys in star wars were Jango and Boba Fett. So when I heard about this game I knew I had to get it. The graphics are ausome. I also like the jetpack. The jetpack starts out different than it is in the last levels. In the beginning the jetpack does not have a missle sticking out of the back. You don't really need missles on the first levels but I would have liked to have them. The story starts out with a hunt. You are Jango Fett and you are after Meeko. This guy is wanted dead or alive and is being chased by the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy you! After getting Meeko and fighting an old mandalorian bounty hunter rival, Jango gets a message from darth tyrannis. Tyrannis offers Jango a dangerous job with a price no bounty hunter could refuse. Five million credits were offered to Jango for the Bando Goro queen. Asai Ventress. The Bando Goro are the most feared creatures in all of the galaxy. The game has good graphics, good characters, and a great storyline. Therefore it is definently a good buy....more info

I've only got to about two of the six chapters so far but I already know this is an awesome game. It is a must have for Star Wars fans. This game fits in perfectly with the Star Wars movies. It is really fun controlling Jango Fett. His jetpack and blaster targeting are excellent. It is fun to get through all the levels and see all the cool cutscenes but there is also reply value. After beating a level you can go back and apprehend all the secondary bounties and find the secret feather for each level. I can't wait to see what happens when you get your final bounty, Komari Vosa, the ex Jedi leader of the Bando Gora....more info
