Systems Distributors Inc.(SDI), Atlanta, GA, a leading low-voltage designer and distributor adds the Sony line of IP network cameras. SDI offers expertise and offerings in CCTV, fire alarms, access control, home systems and intrusion alarms.

Atlanta, GA March 23, 2005 -- Systems Distributors Inc.(SDI), Atlanta, GA, partners with Sony on their new line of IP based network cameras and recording solutions. SDI offers integrated technology solutions to the low-voltage industry, and Sony has long been a leader in the CCTV market.

The CCTV market segment continues to grow at a 20% plus annual rate, according to most industry analysts. The growing prevalence of networks offers large benefits for viewing, controlling and storing CCTV in lieu of the traditional methods. There are also new players in the market since many contractors who already do voice and data work see that they can offer a new and desired IP service to their customers.

Sony's new color cameras are IP based with built-in web servers; are stand-alone devices or use Real Shot Manager system integration software; can use standard web browser to monitor and control images; and offer up to 30 fps for clear and smooth images.

A variety of cameras are offered, from high-speed pan/tilt/zoom with 25X optical zoom and 300X digital zoom, to traditional body and fixed color dome cameras. Options are available for unrivaled multi-camera monitoring and recording for up to 32 cameras with dynamic control and viewing options. Or, Real Shot Manager software is available "un-bundled" for custom built systems.

"Network or IP CCTV solutions are clearly going to be a major source of growth in our industry due to the numerous benefits," says Chris Weldon, VP Systems Sales at Systems Distributors Inc. "We are pleased with our close association with Sony and have already secured several large sales together."

Systems Distributors Inc.(SDI) offers a wide variety of vendors and product offerings, including Pelco, GE Security, Panasonic, Sony, JVC, Firelite, Silent Knight, Systems Sensor, DSC, IEI, Keyscan, Kantech, Securitron, Napco, Altronix, Aiphone, Samsung, Music & Sound, Legend Audio, Greyfox, and Code Blue, among many others.
