Manufacturer: Hp (hewlett-packard)
Model: Q3015A Printer Type: Color Inkjet Average User RatingAverage User RatingAverage User Rating: Number of User Reviews: 12 Reviewed by: cztop from AZ on Jul 2, 2004 Rating: Experience: 10 Days Strengths: easy to set up and use, fantastic photos even on the normal setting and it's a great looking printer Weaknesses: none Summary: Prints much faster than my Lexmark X75 but the best thing is the color photos. I got this printer for my digital camera (Nikon3200)and I love it. I also printed some photos from a CD with 35mm photos and they came out as good as those done at the lab. I'd recommend getting the black ink cartridge for printing documents....too bad it's not included. Reviewed by: dlphn11974 from MA on Feb 29, 2004 Rating: Experience: 2 Months Strengths: Excellent photo quality, quick printing Weaknesses: Makes a loud noise when paper is fed through the printer Summary: I would definitely recommend purchasing this printer. Since I have had it my pictures look great and are dry when printed so their are no smudges. Straight out of the store! Reviewed by: jmad from NJ on Jan 26, 2004 Rating: Experience: 2 Days Strengths: Picture quality and ease of use. Many printing options! Weaknesses: Price; need to switch between photo and black inks when using documents vs photos Summary: Excellent printer! Great quality. I used to have a Deskjet 932c which I didn't want to part with but I'm glad I did. Very easy to set up with HPs quick start guide. Reviewed by: Linda Levin Silverberg from FL on Feb 25, 2004 Rating: Experience: 9 Days Strengths: Very good print quality Weaknesses: Could not use software included with Printer. I had to download a newer version before I could get the Printer to work. Much time was wasted before I found this out. Summary: Easy to use and the print quality is exceptional. I like the color screen at the top for viewing photos and the activity of the printer. Nice sleek design. I would definitely buy it again. Reviewed by: vv_ramana from MI on Mar 24, 2005 Rating: Experience: Strengths: Quality of the Photo using recommended photo paper!! Weaknesses: Apparently there is an issue with this model and other model HP Photo printers that HP has recognized and addressed the issue by telling people to use Premium Plus photo paper to reduce or elimnate the problem. Summary: Issue: Pictures printed on photo paper on the HP Photosmart 7660, 7760,and 7960 printers may exhibit track markings. These markings appear as dots in a straight line. These printers use special wheels, called 'star wheels,' to pull the paper through the printer while printing to the edge of the page. These star wheels may cause marks noticeable under some conditions. Solution: NOTE: The issue will not be resolved by servicing the printer. Use swellable media such as HP Premium Plus Photo Paper, rather than porous media like HP Everyday Photo Paper, to reduce or eliminate the marks from the star wheels. In addition, allow the paper enough time to dry thoroughly after printing. Reviewed by: stephjosh from ID on Mar 8, 2005 Rating: Experience: 13 Months Strengths: Good prints and good speed. Weaknesses: EATS UP THE INK!! Could get about 25 pics out of a $35 cartridge. Summary: Good printer, but will not get another HP. I have lost confidence on HP due to the fact that this printer after 13 months, will not be replaced due to broken hardware. Cartridge service station broken a little after a year of use. HP does not sell the part, but will sell you a refurbished one at nearly the same price paid originally. Reviewed by: cyberex11 from IL on Mar 9, 2004 Rating: Experience: 77 Days Strengths: Handy viewing window, can print photos from digital memory cards without computer, excellent printing quality Weaknesses: USB connection cord must be purchased separately, "grabber" edge of photo paper comes out of printer last where it is most difficult to grab Summary: I bought this printer primarily for my parents' usage because they just purchased a digital camera and needed an easy way to print photos from it. This model is great for them, especially since it can bypass the computer altogether because of its handy viewing window. One can even do basic editing using the little window (crop, contrast, etc.) It has a nice additional compartment for 4x6 photo paper. Printer was easy to set up and is easy to use. Reviewed by: joshinsobe from FL on Mar 24, 2004 Rating: Experience: Strengths: High quality photos, fast text printing, affordable black ink. Weaknesses: Expensive to print photos, Summary: This printer prints exceptional photos and fast text. With HP's new Everyday Photo paper, printing photos isn't as expensive as in the past. The black cartridge is as cheap as anyone elses for cost per page...at about .04 cents per page. Looking at Canon's cost per page..well that will depend on what cartridge the printer uses. Their's can range from .03 to .06. On the 7760, you get crisp and clean text, TRUE B&W photos that last up to 115 years using the gray ink cartridge, and beautiful color photos. The biggest downside is the ink cost printing photos. Going by Best Buy prices, it runs about .54 cents for a 4x6 on Premium Paper including ink. Other downside is the front USB port that only works with HP cameras. Reviewed by: SuperCooker from GA on Dec 17, 2003 Rating: Experience: 3 Days Strengths: Good picture quality. Weaknesses: Ink is too expensive compared with Canon printers. It is a little expressive printer. Summary: I like this printer since the picture quality is really good. I do not like it because its ink is too expensive. I am not able to find a good compatible ink, which is cheap. Reviewed by: ALORAIN on Jan 3, 2004 Rating: Experience: 10 Days Strengths: Good quality copies. Weaknesses: Program to connect the printer was time consuming and complicated. Summary: Although I have installed several computer programs and accessories, I was unable to get this printer connected. I needed the assistance of someone with even more experience in order to get this printer connected to my computer and operating. Reviewed by: Chrisbg747 from WI on Nov 30, 2003 Rating: Experience: 2 Days Strengths: Good color. The display is a plus. Good quality from my digital camera Weaknesses: You have to change the ink for photo or photo black and white Summary: Besides all that i love hp. My last printer was the Deskjet 940c i loved that and love the 7760 too. I will always buy HP Reviewed by: jasonngan from MO on Apr 20, 2005 Rating: Experience: 2 Days Strengths: Nice LCD screen so that I don't really need a computer in order to print my pictures. Nice, rich color with Premium photo plus glossy paper Weaknesses: Tray is too small and it only takes about 20 card at a time. it takes little time to dry Summary: Compared with printers of its kind, I will definitely pick HP 7760. It is easy to use. It prints high quality paper. It is quiet. Its price is affordable. |
