Additional end user applications on display reveal TI's wide range of digital signal controller solutions, including a multi-function enthusiast's toy train; an industry-leading audio subwoofer; a MP3 player with a high capacity, miniature hard drive; a radar enabled industrial flow meter; and an industrial machinery fatigue relieving touch button. * SawStop Table Saw - Come for a video demonstration and see an actual SawStop Table Top Saw display, which is equipped with a revolutionary sensing and instant brake feature enabled by TI's TMS320C2000 digital signal controller to detect the difference between wood and a user's finger. When a finger or hand is detected, the SawStop system completely stops and retracts the blade in less than five milliseconds. As a result, many woodworking accidents will now require only Band-Aids instead of emergency medical care. ARM7-Based Control * TMS470 Catalog MCU - See a demo highlighting recently introduced TMS470 general purpose MCUs, which offer the industry's widest range of memory at up to 1MB of embedded flash along with intelligent, on-chip peripheral options for designs requiring higher levels of performance and flexibility. Video/Imaging * Video Conferencing - Previously, videophones have been subject to jerky video quality and high unit cost. In response to the exponential growth of the IP videophone market, however, TI and Wintech recently introduced a videophone development platform (VDP) that is designed to help OEMs develop high-quality, cost-effective IP videophones. Based on TI's DM643(TM) DSP, the VDP offers real-time H.264 CIF quality videophones running on a single chip and lets OEMs build high-quality videophones at minimum cost with accelerated time to market. Telecom * Hands-Free Kit - Texas Instruments Hands-Free Kit (HFK) Development Platform is a complete digital signal processor (DSP)-based solution, with real-time voice and audio-enhancing algorithms, and is now available with a Bluetooth Daughter Card.
