Brink's Home Security President Bob Allen Delivers Keynote at Pathlore's Global Customer Conference
 
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Pathlore Software Corporation, a provider of learning-management systems (LMS), announced this week that Brink's Home Security President Bob Allen will deliver the keynote address at PathLearn 2003. PathLearn is the software maker's annual customer conference. Described by Pathlore as equal parts global customer summit and product showcase, the event brings together hundreds of information systems and training executives who use the software maker's wares.

Mr. Allen's speech is titled, "Creating Customers for Life." The Brink's Home Security president will address attendees on November 11 at 8:00 a.m. PST at the San Diego Sheraton Hotel and Marina. The conference runs from November 10 - 12, 2003.

Executives from the Irving, Tex.-based security firm say they installed Pathlore's LMS "to enhance the company's culture by offering more training solutions that serve to improve employee morale and stem turnover. A subsidiary of The Brink's Company, Brink's Home Security monitors home security systems for more than 800,000 customers in over 200 markets in the United States and Canada. Brink's also says the LMS will better prepare employees and thereby play a role in boosting revenue for the Texas firm. Mr. Allen adds, "The LMS gives our employees an easy way to acquire essential know-how about Brink's Home Security and our products."

Mr. Allen's remarks include his views on how to turn training and development into a strategic asset that aligns employees' performance with improved business metrics. His address synthesizes the thinking that went into his firm's move toward applying high-tech training tools to tackle organizational needs.

"PathLearn 2003 brings together customers from around the world who are using our LMS to solve real-world business problems," said Steve Thomas, president and chief executive officer of Pathlore. "The exchange of information and ideas for supercharging our LMS gives customers an experience that no other conference offers."

Pathlore has assembled more than 40 interactive sessions that include a variety of case studies and workshops. Speakers will highlight, for example, how to calculate the ROI from a learning-management system and analyze a workforce's skills and know-how. Presenters include Pathlore customers from Delta Air Lines, GEICO, Longs Drugs, Maricopa County, Ariz., Mayo Clinic, PNC Financial Services, Southwest Airlines as well as Pathlore experts and executives.

PathLearn attendees will also see a preview of Pathlore LMS 6.0, the next version of the software maker's learning-management system suite. During the session, Pathlore's R&D team will show customers a host of content and security innovations that are new to Pathlore's LMS. For those looking to complement their LMS with other training technologies, PathLearn features a solutions showcase, too. The showcase features Pathlore partners Coastal Training Technologies Corporation, Graphic Ed, Interpersonal Technology Group, Inc., Macromedia, NETg, OutStart, S4 NetQuest, SkillSoft, Vivid Learning Systems and WebEx Communications.
